North River Crossing

I went to this school from kindergarten-5th grade and I loved it. I am now in 7th grade. Many of the kids were nice and respected others. Some of them were disruptive but the teachers handled it well. The lessons were mostly made in a fun way so that It didn’t feel boring. We could also have partners which helped others. We even got to do fun lessons on days like Halloween, like making cookies that look like cells. I had a great experience and recommend this school!

Our family's experience at Mount Pisgah was deeply disappointing. As the parent of an African American boy, I did not feel that my son was consistently supported, valued, or treated with the level of care and fairness that we expected from a Christian school.Over time, I became concerned that his educational and emotional wellbeing was not being prioritized. Rather than feeling encouraged, he left the school struggling with the emotional impact of his experience. As a parent, there is nothing more difficult than watching your child lose confidence in an environment that should help them grow.I also found the administrative process to be frustrating. Matters that should have been straightforward required repeated follow up, and I often felt that my concerns were not addressed in a timely or meaningful way.Based on my family's experience, I would encourage African American families particularly those with African American boys to ask detailed questions about the school's culture, support systems, and how concerns are handled before making an enrollment decision. Every family's experience may be different, but ours did not reflect the inclusive, Christ-centered environment we were hoping to find.I sincerely hope Mount Pisgah takes the opportunity to reflect on the experiences of minority families and continues working toward ensuring that every student feels seen, respected, and genuinely supported.

I left Wesleyan after my Freshman year, why? My experience was terrible. I went there for 11 years and not once did I feel like there was any concern for me or anyone’s mental and physical wellbeing and health. All this school truly cares for is their reputation and nothing else. It’s horrible to see that what i thought was a top school in georgia be the worst experience in my life. Even after me leaving, my sister (who’s still there) is a senior, and she does dance like 24/7 it’s everything to her. Wesleyan told her that she needed a required PE credit, in which would be fulfilled if they would just sign her off since she dances all the time, but no, they forced her to start taking strength class instead. Another thing is that my sister has a condition where if she works her body like that in which for strength, her spine can make it hard to breathe for her. My mom has been trying very hard to fight against this but no matter what Wesleyan doesn’t care for her, just their reputation.
