Oakbrook Station

The admin is horrible at this school. Avoid this school like the plague. Passive agressive , nasty , and unsupportive. There are plenty of schools with more competent admin.

They are very family oriented , very nice school building , teachers are excited to learn. My 5 yr old is autistic and they took care of her needs very fast and had and sad classroom for her particular needs but was super supportive along the way. My 5th grade has been on honor roll this year, loves her teacher me. Coleman , has scored very high in all of her milestones and has been apart of the many clubs this school offers, last but not least it is safe and that one of the biggest factors for me. I don’t understand why the scores are slow low , great schools need to update.

This school is just rlly bad. They don’t care about any of the students mental health, and they don’t do anything when a student is getting bullied. When I was a student at this school, I would constantly get bullied every single day and I would try to talk to the teachers and counselors about it but they barely did anything ;( I had to deal with the bullying for months until I finally graduated from this school. Kids in this school even sneak in vapes?.. Like chill ur in elementary school buddy

Needs a lot improvement. Starting with the principal Not at all friendly over the years and many many interactions. Completely different from most in her position. Hopefully changes come along soon

Even though the Headmaster and an occasional hit or miss teacher is wonderful and Christ-like, the majority of the teachers are religious but not Christ-like at all. The school has a heavy Church of Christ “religious” overtone. Immigration is a big platform for their missions and the majority of the teachers have become very liberal in their political views because of this. Beware if you are a “conservative Christian.” With the current temperature of our nation, their attitudes spill over into the treatment of more conservative students and it is NOT a good reflection of Jesus. I have had conversations with many students who have lost interest in growing their faith because of the “fake Christian” examples that teachers have shown. This weighs heavy on my heart and I pray each of them seeks forgiveness from these students, past and present.

Anti-bullying at the Gwinnett County school, or any of them, is a COMPLETE joke. No one is prepared to actually deal with parents, as far as administration or front office. I feel sorry for the teachers, whom are the only ones prepared to deal with parents. The lack of communication they receive is pathetic. This hyper vigilance on school protection is ridiculous. Having a police officer for a school resource officer that can't even protect themselves if necessary. When the cop thinks he is special, you know that is a problem. You can't visit your kids in the school, and they don't dare want to give any information on what your kids are learning.
