I wanted to share our experience because it might help other parents of advanced learners. When my daughter attended this school, I repeatedly asked about gifted testing because she was showing early reading and math skills far beyond grade level. I was told she wasn’t showing gifted ability because she was “having trouble adjusting.”After transferring schools, she was assessed and scored in the 99th percentile overall, performing above grade level in phonics, phonological awareness, and high-frequency words. These results confirmed exactly what I’d seen all along.A child can struggle to adjust and still be gifted. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive. I hope the school takes situations like this as a reminder to look deeper before dismissing a parent’s concerns — some kids just need understanding, not limits.

SJNRCS was one of the best decisions we've made for our child. The school provides a safe, welcoming environment where students are truly known and cared for. The academics are strong, and the teachers challenge and support each student to grow.What we love most is the sense of community. Our child has built real friendships, and the school feels like a second home. Faith is woven into everything, helping students grow in both character and spiritual life.

I have been a part of Killian Hill Christian School for almost twenty-five years. The families, the students, the faculty, and the staff are like a family. The teachers care about student learning and make sure the students have what they need for success. The teachers are dedicated to the students and genuinely want them to learn.
