This is my daughter's 2nd year attending and it has been a great experience so far. She always comes home and tells me what she's learned and is excited to show me.
Posted by a parent on 9/18/2023My children went here in the 80's-90's and now my grandchildren do. Mountain Park has always had a special warmth and spirit about it. I've never met a teacher there whom I did not appreciate. Brian Walker is a wonderful principal who makes school more fun for the teachers and students.

When my daughter attended this school, I repeatedly asked about gifted testing because she was showing early reading and math skills far beyond grade level. I was told she wasn’t showing gifted ability because she was “having trouble adjusting.”After transferring schools, she was assessed and scored in the 99th percentile overall, performing above grade level in phonics, phonological awareness, and high-frequency words. These results confirmed exactly what I’d seen all along.A child can struggle to adjust and still be gifted. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive.
