4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve been disappointed with how Eglin Elementary administration handles parent concerns. One particular kindergarten teacher uses exclusion and embarrassment as a form of punishment, which is deeply concerning. When I brought this to the administration’s attention, I received a generic one-sentence email stating the issue would be “addressed with staff.” There was no meaningful follow-up or accountability, leaving me with little confidence that the issue was taken seriously.Parent Review11mo ago14 Reviews - Shalimar Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were highly disappointed with this school. To start, this school has no PTO and no parent-teacher conferences!! What kind of school has no way for parental involvement built into it?! My son was high performing and instead of building in ways for him to keep being challenged the only solution was to stick him in front of the iPad half the day. We need to do better than this. Scaffold education and provide higher performing students with activities OFF of the ipads. Other countless complaints were television during lunchtime, candy being given out almost every day, an extensive reward/discipline system that makes the children completely desire extrinsic motivators, crossing guards looking at their phones during dismissal, I could go on. Of course, there are really caring adults and educators in the school, but something is just not right and not working.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Elliott Point Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been overly happy with Elliott Point versus a prior private school in the county that my son went to. The faculty actually cares for students and hopes they succeed.Parent Review6y ago4 Reviews - Longwood Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child loves it here and I do too! Everyone at this school is so warm and friendly! I feel like they treat every child special, just melts my heart.A quick story...one day I dropped my son off and it was not the best morning (wasn’t listening and had a bad attitude) and the Resource Officer has seen my child always in the morning smiling and so she got down and just chatted and hugged my son. I was driving away smiling! What an awesome thing to notice he was having a bad day and helped him get out of his funk. It made me want to cry because it was such a small thing but made such a huge impact!Parent Review7y ago7 Reviews
