It’s disheartening to see 1-star reviews from 2012 still impacting the perception of Citrus Park Elementary. Everyone deserves a second chance, and the school has seen many positive changes since then. Relying on old reviews can be misleading and doesn’t reflect the school’s current environment. Over the past decade, Citrus Park Elementary has undergone significant improvements, with new faculty and staff who are dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all students. Based on my own experiences, I can confidently attest to the professionalism, care, and commitment displayed by the office staff, teachers, and leadership. Judging the school based on outdated reviews is unfair, as the team is working diligently to provide the best possible experience for every child. The positive changes made over the years are a clear reflection of their efforts.

Hammond provides so many special opportunities - First Lego League robotics for 5th graders, Math Bowl (both my son and daughter have competed multiple years, whole grade gets a chance to join via test), wonderful AGP teachers. My daughter is finishing 5th this year and is qualified for double accelerated math at Walker Middle. Amazing school with an amazing PTA and school community!!

I went here for one year and faced intense bullying, with an administration that wouldn’t take us seriously. I was ostracized by my classmates and felt like an outcast, and went to a public school after the year was over and had a much better experience. I should’ve left much earlier, however. Many are very close-minded, prejudiced against anyone who is of a minority ethnic background and even other religious beliefs. The academics are not even worth the price. Facilities are run down and the school didn’t even have a proper library. The school also makes it mandatory for parents to assist with cleaning and working in the cafeteria. For high schoolers, it’s all to raise money for a senior trip to Europe when the money could be used for updating facilities and departments. Absolutely horrible. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Hearing of the school’s permanent closure overjoyed me, for it meant the beginning of something better of the rest of the students. I wish there was a “no stars” option.

This school is excellent! My child has learned so much here and I like that its a smaller school so all the teachers and students know each other! I will be keeping my child at this school as long as possible

My child loves attending this school. The teachers here truly care about my child's well being and my child has made many friends. I would definitely recommend this school.
