"It’s getting better but I would give it another 2-3 years until it’s completely gentrified. Little Haiti is not an ideal area for children maybe for couples or singles."

"Folks walk with their dogs all hours of the day. They often stop to say "Hi" to my dogs & me when we are outside in our yard. My boys have made doggy friends with those dogs who bring their people by for a walk regularly. "

"Terrible place to walk a dog, tons of glass, stray cats, cars driving way too fast, etc. Nearby Buena Vista Historic district is close and provides a much nicer experience. "

"Full of life yet quiet and fairly crime-free for location. Establish residents speak to each other and watch out for each other. Close to everything and to highways (less than 1 mile to Midtown, 1 mile to Wynwood, blocks from the 95, 1/2 mile to 112 expressway. 5 miles from Downtown and Port of Miami. It doesn't get any more convenient."

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff seems motivated and intelligent in their craft. The chief concern would be the leadership at the school. The principal truly has no interpersonal skills, and does not know how to to effectively communicate with staff, teachers, or parents. I hope Miami dade looks into her placement.Teacher Review6y ago2 Reviews - Jesse J. Mccrary, Jr. Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible fourth grade Math teacher lack of passion for students learning, homework is done at home therefore homework scores and assignments must return home for parents or guardian to assess , motivate and encourage . That way home can verify graded results. Even if the assignment is done right teacher marks it wrong. My child was marked F from the beginning of school quarter child is Still F. Child left 3rd grade with C. Teacher shows no concern for the outcome of the student only there for their income . Sad!!Parent Review3y ago7 Reviews - Toussaint L'Ouverture Elementary

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI really love this school. My children have been attending it for 5 years and I cant complain. The staff are extremely nice and the teachers really care about the student's academic success. My children are a testament to that since they only get A's and B's on their report cards.Above all, they teach students how to have a relationship with Christ and to make Him first in their life. God bless this amazing school!Parent Review9y ago3 Reviews
