"I've lived here for 3 years and I love it! It's a quiet, clean, calm neighborhood. there's lots of families walking their dogs. The homes are beautiful and the yards are well maintained. "

"San Marco is arguably the most dog friendly neighborhood in Jacksonville. Two wonderful daycare and grooming businesses are in relative walking distance, as well as a vet. A mom “n’ pop, all-natural pet market, is centrally located for basic pet supply needs. There are an abundant number of well maintained parks with dog cleanup stations on-site, including a fenced in dog park. Traffic is moderate with low speeds, which eases concerns on walks. Most restaurants allow dogs and provide thoughtful accommodations, especially in the hotter months. "

"San Marco has a sleepy town feel with that bustling city atmosphere. People are friendly and helpful and I love being able to walk to everything whil3 also being able to keep safe. "

"Dog friendly. Dog parks. Regular parks. Some dog friendly businesses. Many people own dogs. Some people actively feed stray/ferrel cats which is distracting and spreads disease. "

"Need more dog parks and doggie poo bag stations. That said, everyone has a dog. Plenty of stray cats to chase as well"

"We really enjoy living here. The downside is that we are in an evacuation Zone. So we are always asked to leave during Hurricane Season."

"School take in and release are somewhat slower. The rest of the day now is great with the new interchange for I- 95. A lot of new eatery and service business are here again. "

"Walking distance to so many amazing restaurants and breweries. A quick drive to 5 Points and Riverside for more variety. Gorgeous river views and parks in the area."

"I like the neighborhood, situated south of downtown, along the St. John’s River. The only drawback to living here is that there is not a grocery store in the near vicinity, meaning I have to drive to get groceries. If not for that, I would probably not drive at all in the neighborhood."

"It's safe but too many cats. Too many mosquitoes from flooded alleys. Old buildings, watch out for musty smells from air conditioning units falling apart, not sure landlords will fix. Would not recommend after Hurricane Irma flooded these streets."
