A teacher by the name of myers threatened 2 students for sitting next to each other for the 6th grade end of year party. She told them that if they didn’t sit with a chair between them, that she would start a rumor that they were kissing. That if they tried to deny it, no one would believe them and everyone would believe her because she’s a teacher. Principal does nothing to rein in teachers disgusting behavior and threats. Do not send your children here. Some of the teachers are out of control because they believe they are untouchable because the principal does nothing to hold them accountable.

We love LES. Been attending since Kindergarten and couldn't be happier. I wouldn't consider any other school. LES is headed by a strong principal, Ms. Wolfe, and the admin team is kind and supportive. Overall, the teachers are caring and supportive, you can bring your concerns to them and they'll work with you to find a solution. They're involved in the community and are willing to stop and say hello even on a random weekend sighting. Any time I've had questions, they have fully responded in a timely manner. I look forward to another successful year for my child this year and will be sad when he leaves to Jr. High in 2 years. Go Lakers!

I have a special needs ASD child who started kindergarten at this school and only attended 21 full days of kindergarten and received 7 referrals. Despite the high ranking I did not see or experience the exceptionally for my special needs and military dependent child.

Coach Shawn killed himself 12 years ago, Coach Bright has been living off that tenure ever since. Also, it’s weird for the male swim coach to insist on riding the female bus.

SPC is not safe and is run by two women who gaslight parents, children and staff. It is exclusively a “teach to the test” school. If subjects are not on the state test they will not be taught to the children. Safety and lack of it would be my highest concern as a parent or new employee. The standard for acceptable behavior is extremely low which leads to extensive loss of learning time in all grades which will stunt learning if your child attends multiple years. Behavior records are falsified, situations not reported to parents and the school is a revolving door of employees which explains a lot. Beware that a “behavior unit” of emotional disturbed children is housed on campus. The age range goes as high as 14 years old age. This “behavior unit” is understaffed and these children roam campus with little controldue to the nature of public school laws and under staffing. Please consider this when thinking about sending your sweet young children to SPC.

This school is amazing and we are continually impressed with the teachers and administrators who put in the extra mile to educate our children.

Do not send your kids to this school. They lack empathy and will mentally abuse your children by telling them they are a shame and call them liars when they can’t take accountability. It’s 10 percent black children there and zero black employees.

We have a middle school child at SJCDS. He has enjoyed school and we have been pleased as parents. The teachers have been excellent and the administration has always been professional. The school has a very warm and close-knit environment.
