"Congress Heights is the hidden gem of DC. It has easy access to Nats Stadium, the soccer stadium, Yards Park and St. Elizabeth’s Campus. This neighborhood reminds me of Hst five years ago. So much potential with the feel of the suburbs. Love it."

"I lived in this neighborhood for two years although the neighborhood isn't the best nor the safest area to be in I made the best of it while I was there...But the greatest thing I liked about the area was the fact that they had buses that practically ran all night..."

"This neighborhood is becoming a hot spot for young professionals. I bought here in 2011 and can't believe all the redevelopment going on. Home prices are now on the rise with all the new businesses and restaurants opening. New neighbors are friendly thus far, fun to watch the transition from low income neighborhood to hip & cool :)"

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school. All three of my children attend this school and I couldn't be happier with the Leadership of the principal Ms. White. She works hard, she's tough but she is fair and the results have paid off. The teachers are also very focused and accommodating. The balance between academics and down time is appropriate. HW is given everyday however they reward the students all the time. I love Ms White and I love the difference and impact she has made with the school.Parent Review7y ago3 Reviews - Bishop John T. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAmazing experience. I am in awe of my son's intellectual growth and development since he started last year. Today, when I picked him up from school, he told me how much he liked the teachers and loved the school because they make him feel so smart! I really appreciate the support and the resources they provide for building character and integrity among these young men.Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Kuumba Learning Center

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKuumba has changed my life as well as my children’s. Kuumba is full of love and welcomes you with open arms. They are so positive and always willing to lend a hand and help out in anyway. When I first saw the name Kuumba I had to know more. I was hooked. When we came for the interview I knew my kids had to attend. They were already so involved and committed. I had never seen my kids eagerly want to go to school. Kuumba has had a huge impact on my entire family. My daughter is opening up and growing up in to become a great young woman. My oldest son has changed completely from his unacceptable behavior at his previous school. My youngest twin had so many issues that I had no idea about and if it wasn’t for guidance from Kuumba I would have never known. Kuumba has shown me new ways to discipline, teach, care and feed my children and I am truly blessed and thankful.Parent Review6y ago49 Reviews - Democracy Prep PCS-Congress Heights
