9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Masuk for all 4 years of my secondary education. Despite the option to attend private schools, I opted to stay local and attend this school. Over the years, I have come to realize that the education I received while at Masuk was truly outstanding. I was blessed spend time with rigorous science teachers, phenomenal language arts faculty and highly engaged music and arts faculty who provided encouragement and a myriad of options to expand my horizons. These men and women set high expectations, created a positive, constructive learning environment and held I and my classmates to high standards. I have seen again and again how the lessons I learned while a student at this school positioned me well for future success, ultimately earning multiple degrees from Ivy league institutions, where faculty regularly commented favorably on writing skills I learned from English faculty at this school. I attended Masuk ~ 20 years ago, so I'm sure things have changed as teachers, staff and admin have moved on or retired. But if the current faculty are even a fraction as outstanding as the faculty who taught me, this is still an outstanding school.Other Review4y ago5 Reviews - Oxford High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration is one of the worst I've ever encountered and it feels like they target already marginalized children. Services and assistance differ between students based on what I can only assume is whether or not the student is liked by the administration. As an example a non-special ed student was offered tutoring help in math but when the same services were requested for my special education child, we were told the school doesn't provide tutoring. They tried to take away special education services of a graduating senior against the parents' wishes resulting in an advocate needing to be hired. The assistant principal does not maintain professional boundaries with students or parents from texting and hanging out with parents of her favorite students often discussing delicate and personal information of other students and we have had experience with her lying or withholding information about situations to support her narrative. The teachers are strong and caring, but many have left under the current administration which is a huge loss for the town.Parent Review6mo ago3 Reviews
