"We were "new suburb" snobs before moving to Old Littleton. People who come here don't leave, it's a charming and friendly and safe community. Wonderful access yet "country in the city" feel."

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my kids love going to school at Mackintosh. The small class size and teachers who care deeply about the success both academically and socially for each individual child makes a huge positive impact. Something unique about Mack is that every child participates in a class play each year. This may not sound like a big deal, however the confidence and ability to speak in front of large groups in grade school prepares them to present to large groups in High School, College, and their Careers, something that many adults are afraid to do.The teachers and administration do a great job of handling conflict among students (which is inevitable). They can sense when issues are starting to arise and then help the students resolve the conflicts - they are actively being taught how to do this rather than just punishing kids when stuff happens (which is going to happen at any school).Parent Review7mo ago64 Reviews - St Mary's Of Littleton

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids have been attending St. Mary since preschool. There have been some hurdles in recent years as others have mentioned (replacement of playground, which took too long, some difficulties with the strict Mass uniforms on Fridays) but overall, no school is perfect and we love this school. The teachers and staff are thoughtful and effective. My kids enjoy school, which says a lot. The homework starting in 1st grade is relatively rigorous, I could do for less so that time at home is more relaxed, but it has helped the kids understand their responsibility in their education starting young. The best part of St. Mary's is the community- many parishioners attend the school and you can feel that there is something special in it all. There is excellent family involvement in the school. I wouldn't choose another place to support my kids growing and learning in an environment of like-minded, yet diverse, students, teachers, and staff all in a place where faith and virtue are center.Parent Review3w ago18 Reviews - Mackintosh Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two girls at Mack, one in K and one who has been there since K and is now in 4th. We love the school, the nurturing, the support, the friendliness and openness of the teachers. We haven’t experienced ever any bullying, Mack fosters a sweet community of friends and addresses conflict as a learning opportunity. My older child has told me every year that “this years teachers are my absolute favorite”. My youngest loves going to school every morning and has the kindest and sweetest K teacher who is extremely prepared and understands little’ kids need movement, calm down time and a variety of hands-on stimulation to supplement their learning.A good friend is an educator and she just took a specialist job at Mack after working in several Boulder private school. Her summary was that Mack is the best of the bunch, very informed on the research-backed growth mindset etc and actually putting money into teacher training in learning approaches, well-informed on supporting learning differences and challenges. I have friends with 2E kids and their kids are thriving. The campus is amazing, the staff top notch and the community is warm. Of course every school has issues I personally think Spanish could be better, of course even more resources would be welcomes for even more individualized support, but I’ll take it because the school is fantastic and my kids are happy.Parent Review2y ago43 Reviews - St Mary Littleton

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Mary Catholic Virtue School has been an incredible blessing for our family. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warmth, faith, and genuine care that the staff and teachers pour into their students every single day. The school beautifully blends strong academics with character formation, helping students grow not just in knowledge, but in virtue, confidence, and compassion. The teachers are dedicated, patient, and deeply invested in each child. They communicate clearly, support students at all levels, and create a safe, encouraging environment where kids truly thrive. The faith-centered atmosphere is woven naturally into daily life—students learn to lead with kindness, responsibility, and respect. The sense of community at St. Mary is unmatched. Families feel welcomed and involved, and the school’s events, Masses, and traditions create wonderful shared moments. It’s a place where children feel known, loved, and supported. We are so grateful for St. Mary Catholic Virtue School. It’s more than just a school—it’s a foundation for faith, lifelong learning, and strong values.
