Had a terrible experience with the kindergarten teacher there snapping at my child and myself when I addressed my concerns. If A kinder teacher can't handle small children with challenges then why are they even a teacher. If you are considering this school stay a way from the PM Kindergarten teacher.

Terrible school. The lunch lady denies kids food and will walk up to some kids take their trays and trash them, on top of that the principle Shirley, has done nothing about and mistreats the kids who's parents have complained, also threatens parents with a ban from the school, for calmly confronting the lunch lady.

Went to this elementary school from Kindergarten to 5th. Most of my teachers were not structured lessons, and if you do not want your kids to be excluded out of activities or anything in general, I would have them go elsewhere. When i was in first grade in 2012/13 nobody would let me see their kendama when it was trending or fidget spinner for no reason, and throughout the years no one would let me see the yearbook, for also no reason. During field trips no one would want to sit next to me on the bus unless they had to, and if they did sit next to me, they wouldnt talk to me. And same thing with recess, wouldnt play with me for no reason. So unless you want your kids to be excluded out of things or bullied, or have unstructured lessons, you should take them elsewhere. If I could give a zero star review, I absolutely would.

I don’t usually complain, but I am beyond frustrated with my kids’ school.I genuinely thought moving to a “better” neighborhood would mean my children would be attending a better school. Instead, I have experienced more problems with this school than I have in my 22 years of being a mother.This is a school that will call me because my son’s shoe is tied too tight, but somehow won’t call me when he is having a mental breakdown and refusing to leave the classroom at the end of the day.They will send my child home because he has a bug bite, but won’t call to tell me when my daughter falls from the monkey bars and hits her head on the play structure.They will call me to report that my son was physically aggressive toward another child, but when I pick him up with bruises or bloody elbows, suddenly there doesn’t seem to be the same urgency to communicate with me about what happened.Last year, I truly felt like we were making progress. My son had a team of adults around him who genuinely seemed to care about him and understood how to support him. This year, it feels like we have lost all of that consistency.We have gone through changes in principals, vice principals, office staff, yard-duty staff, and classroom staff. There has been almost no consistency. My daughter’s first-grade class alone went through three different teachers.So I have to ask: How is this considered one of the best schools in West Sacramento?I am exhausted. I am frustrated. Most of all, I am incredibly disappointed that I ever enrolled my children here.Our children deserve consistency, communication, safety, and adults who genuinely care about them. I should not have to constantly fight to make sure my children are being heard, supported, and protected at school.
