"You see people walking their dogs all the time, even at night. The dogs are well-trained. There is plenty of green space in the neighborhood and a great dog park nearby on Stone Blvd. "

"There are people here and there that really put effort in to the community though I feel the majority of the residents do not do much to support. As with most cities, you have the good and the bad. West Sacramento has been going on a downward slide as the population increases. I have lived here for about 35 years."

"There are good and bad areas in every town. I have lived here most my life and it is a good town with good people for the most part. But you will still find, as you will in most places, parts of the town that are less than desirable areas to live."

"There are many families with young kids in the neighborhood. There are also nice parks and outdoor activities in walking or biking distance. It is close to old sacramento, the river, and downtown sacramento for activities or day outings. "

"great but the community doesn't come together in things and our neighborhood is getting worse. no stores in the area like malls or grocery stores "

"A lot of older people live here. Most are good people!! Shopping centers near and lots of food places. Schools are okish. Basic safety needs like locking doors including locking up vehicles."

"The neighbors are very nosy and the stare a lot. It’s not a bad neighborhood though. Everyone usually knows each other small town. "

"It’s needs a few clean up but it’s a decent neighborhood. But be careful about having bikes out. A lot of people tend to steal them"

"Decent neighborhood but not recommending moving here. Alot of homeless and crazy people walking around begging and are pushy if you are not local"

"WE need parks, and more affordable rents. Rent are getting high and high, we also need more security. "

"I live and work in the area. Minutes from downtown where restaurants, shopping and entertainment and nightlife. Next to the Sacramento River and Old Town Sacramento. If you work in downtown you can take the bus, bike or drive. Close to Routs 80, 50 and 5. 15 minutes to the airport. Very clean and safe. I love it. "

The bilingual education that they have reciveied has been awsome and as years go by their bilingual skills have gotten stronger. Thank you so much for all your hard work. You will be part of us and hold a special place in our hearts. ROSWELLParent Review12y ago5 Reviews - Riverbank Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible school! If you want your kids to have a good education and supportive environment, this is not the school. Staff is a joke and should go through training before getting hired here. They hire anyone just to have an “adult” on campus.Parent Review11mo ago4 Reviews - Holy Cross College Prep Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can't wait to remove my kid in this school. We decided to put my kid here to have a good education and to know god better. Me and my husband are really disappointed, because every monday the teacher will give her an assignment that she already did a few months ago. The teachers are new that came from different state, it looks like they are just practicing to have their certificate....ok that's fine...but think about it, we are paying for the tuition...it's not FREE-that's why i look for good results. Also, i don't like that the grades are together like for example 1st and 2nd grade are in the same room and 1 teacher. One time, i attended one of their friday mass i was in awe when the principal is the one that gave the homily, not the priest, I told myself what the heck!!! I know their tuition fee is really affordable, but for me i rather pay an extra bucks to give my child a better education. Very disappointed!!!! Doesn't even deserve 1 star..Other Review13y ago1 Reviews - River City Christian Academy

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy one experience included a lockdown with no input from admin. They are ageist and discriminatory. Because my experience was negative, I have to assume they treat students and parents poorly as well. I had a bit of a challenging day there in a 3rd grade class as a sub. The lesson plans were a little complex, but nothing terrible. The kids helped a lot. After carrying out the teacher's instructions admirably and completely, topping the day off by staying after and reading to kids until tardy parents arrived, and then cleaning the classroom, I was told not to return. They claimed an aide overheard me saying something insensitive to a student, and since I know that never happened, I came to my own conclusions.Teacher Review2mo ago3 Reviews - Bryte Christian Academy
