The office staff is horrible. No compassion for the children. Or the parents for that matter. The principal is not very active in stopping bullying. The teachers are very good. The proctor's and crossing guards are great. But the face of the school is the office staff and they are horrible.

I love this school. I had 4 kids at the school two graduated from there, I still have two attending Sixth st prep school even though I live 20m away from there and still drive them to school every day. That's how much I love it ! and think my kids do great there. My daughter at second grade was reading at 5th grade level.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at village steam elementary My daughter is in TK, and I do not feel that the way she was treated was appropriate for a young child.One of my biggest concerns is that my daughter was forced to hold her urine for approximately 30 minutes during nap time, to the point that she was experiencing stomach pain. I find this completely unacceptable, especially for a young child who is still in an early learning environment and should be allowed to communicate when she needs to use the restroom.I was also specifically told by the principal that my daughter did not have to lay down during nap time. Despite this, a classroom helper continued to force my daughter to lay down. My daughter became scared and upset about going to school because of how she was being treated during nap time.Children this young should feel safe, respected, listened to, and comfortable asking an adult for help. Parents should not have to worry that their child is being made to hold their urine or being forced to do something that administration has already said they do not have to do.This experience has been extremely upsetting for our family. I hope the school takes these concerns seriously and makes sure that other children are treated with the patience, kindness, and respect they deserve.

Amazing TeacherMs. Lemoine is an incredible teacher! She is so patient and understanding, always taking the time to explain things in a way that makes sense. She’s also super supportive, encouraging me to do my best and never giving up on me, even when I’m struggling. Her lessons are really well organized, and she uses fun examples that make learning interesting. I feel like I’ve improved so much since working with her, and I always look forward to her classes. Thank you, Ms. Lemoine!

My daughter didn’t get to eat much because the proctor ignored her request 3 times and told her “oh my god” ,I reported the situation and she said she didn’t remember but then the following day confronted my daughter about it , then we were never informed about the incident because they didn’t deem it necessary to inform us.

So far we love this school and the staff. We have 4 kids and have experience with multiple schools at this point and this one is the best of them. They have different counseling and emotional support groups for the kids and are on top of making sure kids get the academic help and support they need early.

This is has been very proactive in making sure my child's learning experience is fun and educational. The teachers care about there students and making sure all styles of learning are attended too.
