3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attends this school as a 7th grader and she HATES it. She has been getting bullied for three years straight and the school didn't do as much as they were supposed to. For the past few days, she has come home and felt like a total wreck. The teacher touched her without her consent and teased her for scoring a "third-grade" level on her diagnostic when she actually got way higher. The teacher told my daughter she could get her some colored pencils so she could color with them, treating her as if she were a third-grader. After teasing her for a good two minutes, she told her the actual score and said she was trying to stress her out. As a mother, it is very heartbreaking to know what my child is going through in her so-called "safe" school. After all of that one of her friends tripped and two other girls caught her, the teacher asked what was going on in a loud tone and didn't give them a chance to explain, instead gave them detention. My daughter knew this wasn't right of her to do so she called her and tried to explain what was going on but she cut her off and gave her detention as well. All these experiences have led her to feel intense discomfort and anxiety. My daughter brought this up to the principal. For the detention situation, the principal told her to worry about herself, although it was not right for the teacher to not hear them out, for the teacher touching her without her consent, the principal asked the students what happened and the students said that she tapped her to ask a question because the teacher wasn't answering her question but that is a completely different way of touch, and lastly, for the teasing situation, the principal told her that maybe she just didn't take a joke. That hurt MY feelings, I can't imagine how my daughter felt in the moment. Nowadays when she comes home she often looks depressed and uncomfortable.Parent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Maxine Hong Kingston Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is an absolute joke. I will say my daughter did have a good time until she hit 3rd grade. Then was getting bullied by the same girl over and over, as much as I reported they just kept saying we will talk to the girls. That worked for maybe a month and then right back to it, my daughter came home almost everyday crying wondering what she did to deserve this and that is not fair. My daughter was not the only one this girl was bullying, she has been in physical fights and got into problems that weren't hers. My final straw was, my daughter was set up in the bathroom while in 5th grade and not one friend of hers was in there to help, thank God only one girl fought her, but my daughter got suspended for defending herself and another student recorded it. I called the Stockton Unified Police Department but they said it was a mutual fight so they couldn't do anything. WOW!!!! Way to be there for the kids. I switched my daughter's school and I haven't seen her happier and more positive friends as well. The kids at Hong Kingston are wild and very disrespectful. They run the school not the teachers or principal. The girl still attends this school and they refuse to discipline her, and another girl just left the school because of this bully. Good luck, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!!Parent Review9mo ago9 Reviews - Oakbrooke Private School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of the worst schools I made the biggest mistake of putting my daughters in that school just because it was close to my house which I regret thank God and my daughters are not in that school any more, a lot of bullying the principals and teachers do nothing about it. I tell the principals because they change their principal every 3 months !!Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Humphreys College Academy Of Business, Law And Education
