"People walk their dogs and there is a grassy area for dogs. Restaurants also have dog friendly patios"
  • Trulia User
"Be prepared for a lot of small dog privilege. If they can get away with it they will try to walk small dogs off leash."
  • Trulia User
"It's quiet and my neighbors are friendly. You can visit the zoo, have a picnic, or enjoy dinner with friends at a nice restaurant."

"I’ve lived in Downtown San Diego for twenty years, moved here shortly after the twin towers assault in NY, from 8th to 9th Ave to 10th street. It’s friendly and clean as a far as a city goes. Pet friendly and I live the harbor and city lights. "

"Not very familiar with the Park West neighborhood. If I knew more about it I would write a more detailed review."
  • Nadeana B.
"there's public transportation almost at every corner. there's trolley stations at America plaza across the street from that stop is Santa Fe Depot, there you can catch the green line trolley that will take you to santee, and of course stopping at other stations as well before getting to santee. also at Santa Fe depot, you can take the coaster to oceanside, or take the surf liner to Los Angeles, or catch the Amtrak."

"Great neighborhood for dogs! Our guys love it here. They have a lot of friends they see everyday. We get to meet nice people through our pooches too. "

"Always something going on each weekend at the Marina, Parks, Little Italy. They just started Food Truck Wednesdays on B Street. An awesome place to live!"

"I have lived in this neighborhood for seven years. I feel safe and it is centrally located between Balboa Park and Downtown. I have a view of the Bay, Coronado, and Petco Park. I love San Diego."
  • Pmhrenak
"The farmers market is very close by as if the dog park. It makes it easy to get out and about and meet people. "
  • Lorenakerr
"The San Diego Bay and the proximity to Petco Park. We love baseball. It’s a growing community, growing restaurants and affluent people. We have a local Catholic Church; Our Lady of the Rosary."
  • Joseph B.
"I live downtown San Diego and have been downtown San Diego for the past 3 plus years and I love it outside the emergency vehicles periodically early in the morning or late night waking me out of my sleep. "
  • Lorenakerr
"The Embarcadero, the water, Petco Park are some of the excitements. But the beauty of the city is the most enchanting. I love downtown San Diego."
  • David
"Easily one of the most walkable areas in all of Downtown San Diego. East Village has been revitalized with new restaurants, bars, boutique shops and fitness centers. And new developments are ongoing. Close enough to the action (i.e. Gas Lamp, Petco Park, etc) yet just far enough away to come home to a quiet place to relax and enjoy my unit in privacy. Overall a great area to live in to experience a true city lifestyle. "
  • Michegyzen
"I like this neighborhood because it's well situated between Little Italy and Gaslamp but its quieter. You don't get the same foot traffic and noise as you do in other areas of downtown SD especially at night. "
  • Corey K.
"Highest crime in San Diego, overpriced small apartments, cocky hipsters living off their parents and homeless people to step over on each corner and sometimes in-between... truly unique. "
