"Great neighborhood for dog owners, lots of pet friendly businesses and most streets have sidewalks. The nearest dog park I know if is the Bark Park on Q and 19th, so not exactly walking distance but I frequently see dogs at McKinley Park, however leashes are required."

"This neighborhood falls in a funny zip code category that doesn't do it justice. These streets (including 2nd Ave) are part of Elmhurst. This means shady streets, a great neighborhood association, child and pet friendly and super quiet due to all the traffic calming. I've lived in a dozen California communities including Berkeley, Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. This is my favorite: friendly neighbors, convenient to bike paths, bus, light rail, Corti Brothers, restaurants. Much nicer than East Sac where I also lived. Peaceful."
