9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Sandpiper! It is a TK-8th grade school which has an amazing culture of belonging, kindness, and empathy. Our principal who models that every day for our students and community. The teachers are friendly and really care about my children, and we have a very good school counselor who goes into each classroom to teach social emotional learning lessons. We're a really close knit, neighborhood school where many people walk and bike there and theres a real feeling of strong community here. Alot of parents are very passionate about contributing their talents and time to the school so we have alot of fun school social events too. Sandpiper's middle school is actually a design thinking school, which means they teach kids how to think and solve problems creatively. Design thinking methodology is actually used to drive innovation by many world leading institutions/companies such as Apple, Google, Stanford School of Design. The teachers train in design thinking with other prominent schools focused on design thinking such as dtech high school, Nueva, etc. We also have an outstanding robotics program and kids can participate and get mentored by high school students. Student teams have actually won world championships in robotics, consistently placing in the top 3 globally. We feel lucky to attend Sandpiper and my kids are thriving in this amazing community here.Parent Review3mo ago15 Reviews - Brewer Island Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are good teachers, but there are also bad teacher who are not qualified as educators. When our children couldn't properly participate in the class play because they couldn't speak English, she excluded them from the play. From the start, she didn't even give my child a role. Later, she gave my kids a small role, but when they couldn't communicate with their friends because they didn't know English, she said that they interfere with practice, so she excluded them again after only two days.I am still upset at the thought that my children must have been hurt by watching other children's plays on the day of the play presentation. I think a good educator should lead everyone to participate in class activities. Our children were not given consideration or guidance to participate, and were discriminated against and excluded. I am not good at English either, so I am even more angry and sorry for my kids because I couldn't even complain to the teacher at that time.Parent Review4y ago16 Reviews - Audubon Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are thrilled to be part of the community and our son has thrived here. He loves learning and his teachers completely know what makes him tick. He had learning challenges in grade 3 and the start of grade 4. The school did everything in their power to make sure he would succeed. His turnaround as one of the top academic students in his class is a testament to his teachers.Other Review10y ago29 Reviews - Kids Connection School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had a wonderful experience at Kids Connection preschool for our two year old son. He has been there almost a year. The teachers have been nurturing and kind, all staff knows kids and their families by name. The staff has been incredibly patient with potty training and my son has learned so much regarding numbers, letters and social skills. They offers extracurricular activities such as dance, sports and gymnastics which has been great! We are happy to be in this wonderful community.Parent Review2y ago30 Reviews - Bright Horizon Chinese School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStrong community across teachers, parents and students. Curriculum is grounded in fundamentals of STEAM but also with opportunities to explore enrichment opportunities for students with extracurricular activities across PE, music, art, SEL. New principal this year who has available and transparent, does a great job following-up with families.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - San Mateo County Special Education School
