What Locals Say about Bair Island

  • Trulia User
"Wednesday is food truck night. Nice secluded neighborhood on the water. Great area to walk or run. Lots of dogs with a dog park within walking distance. Tranquil place with harbor for boats. Some people have kayaks and paddle boards. Great weather. Downtown is cute with a lot to do especially on weekends. Many restaurants nearby."
  • Irene W.
"Too many dogs in the area in my opinion and conflicts arise between dogs passing each other. There is the rare occasion that dog owners don’t clean up after their pets. "
  • Feng T. N.
"Walks by the water and running near the wetlands. Plenty of trails for exercise. Cool ocean breeze at night."
  • Jordi A.
"No events at all just a water oriented community with yachting, paddle boards, ksyacks etc and the love of the birds on Bair islands"
  • "Live here - great area, all the necessary amenities are close by. Downtown Redwood City is the jewel of the peninsula."
  • "We just moved out. On top of a $200 rent increase (in this economy!) the new lease staff constantly put notices on our door for any tiny infraction. So many tenants are upset about how everyone is getting treated that people are moving out in droves. We used to have parties at the pool, and enjoyed a great life here, and since the management change we have been subjected to being told we can only have "2 guests" at a time, although we saw the manager had no problem bringing a gang of his friends. Complete crap. There's much better luxury places to rent when you are getting treated like this "
