8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor many years I was pleased with this school, my two daughters were attending. They have really good teachers, but unfortunately they can’t control the bullying now. Specifically in one of the PE classes for 2nd grade. I had a meeting with the coach to figure out what was going on and he was super disrespectful and unprofessional. He interrupted me, yelled at me and my husband, I decided to finish the meeting because there was no end solution and no respect. If this is how he treats the parents imagine how he treats the students. The administration was not able nor did they want to help control it, they just covered up everything. My daughter was harassed multiple times, she was hit, punched, slapped on her bottom, choked, kicked and pushed. It’s obvious that the school does not care about the safety of their students. I’ve resourced to transferring to a different school for her own safety .Parent Review5y ago6 Reviews - Cimarron Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've had a really good experience at this school. The teachers have all been knowledgeable, kind and are happy to get involved and support your child. The admin is good at connecting and supporting needs as well. They are constantly working towards getting more activities and clubs for the children to enjoy themselves. Any issues have been taken very seriously by staff and action is taken immediately.Parent Review1mo ago11 Reviews - Golden Poppy Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not properly take care of issues the students have. Some teachers are unnecessarily rude with the students and harsh on them. Some are also given lot's of homework and the teachers expect it to be turned in on time. There is a lot of racism within the students and it's not taken care of, also the students are constantly rude or mean to certain students.Student Review9mo ago7 Reviews - Chaparral Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible experience with this school. In my experience, Buena Vista Elementary has not taken bullying seriously. Last year, my son was physically bullied by three 5th-grade students on the school bus. He was slapped around by the students, and the bus driver claimed she didn’t “see or hear” anything. However, the bus cameras captured what happened. What was especially upsetting was that my son, who was the victim and did not physically touch the other student, was also suspended because he “talked back” to the bully. In other words, my son was disciplined alongside the student who physically assaulted him simply because he verbally responded.I have also repeatedly reported inappropriate sexual and homophobic conversations happening among students, including students making comments about being “gay” and talking about “gay porn.” I have reported these concerns to the school multiple times, including providing the names of the students involved, and these conversations are still reportedly happening. This is an elementary school, and I should not have to repeatedly raise concerns about bullying and inappropriate conversations and feel like nothing is being done. Parents should be able to trust that their children are safe at school and on the school bus, and that when a child is being bullied, the response will protect the victim rather than punish them for speaking up.I am extremely disappointed with how these situations have been handled and hope the school takes these concerns more seriously going forward.Parent Review2mo ago7 Reviews - Mesquite Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school’s administration is a joke. They don’t care about the students, don’t care about the parents it’s all about numbers and appearances just ridiculous horrible. I feel bad for the good teachers and staff members who have to be subjected to work here under such unprofessional individuals.Parent Review5mo ago6 Reviews
