Being part of the Head-Royce community has been one of the brightest experiences of my life. I genuinely come to school with a smile on my face and a warm feeling knowing I’m in a place that truly cares about its students. Head-Royce values not only academics, but also creativity, kindness, and the different ways students learn, which is something that really sets it apart. One of the biggest reasons I applied to Head-Royce for high school was the small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratio. This has made a huge difference in my learning because it encourages me to ask questions, build strong relationships with my teachers, and stay curious. The classes are definitely challenging, but the school prepares us well and supports us every step of the way. I feel inspired in my classes and motivated to keep learning. Head-Royce also offers so many opportunities outside the classroom through clubs and sports. I currently serve as the Co-President of New Crew, a club I joined when I first came to Head-Royce in 9th grade, and it has been meaningful to stay involved throughout my time here. I’ve also had the opportunity to create my own club with a classmate called Cards for Elders, where we write letters to isolated elderly people around the Bay Area. Having the freedom and support to start something meaningful like this has been incredibly rewarding. Being part of the Head-Royce community has truly been one of the best things that has happened to me. I am extremely grateful for the education, support, and sense of belonging I’ve found here.
