"This neighborhood is within walking distance of many bus line, some to San Francisco, many to downtown Oakland. Cars are definitely not needed, but sometimes useful. Short term car rentals are available through, usually within a block."

"We're an older, friendly community that has remained relatively unchanged for years. We have treasured unique neighborhood shops and restaurants. The community center provides an array of music, dance, and family events and classes. I enjoy hearing the music at outdoor events."

"We have lived here 15 years and can only say great things about Piedmont. It is lovely, serene and safe with excellent proximity to The City. We are known for our schools and wonderful architecture. We also get to enjoy all the services and restaurants in Oakland. Our neighbors are very friendly and it is also very pet friendly and extremely walkable."
