Saklan excels at getting through to students and inspiring their love of learning with small class sizes, social-emotional learning and especially their project-based learning approach. I have two kids who have loved going to Saklan every day for 5 years now and even ask to stay for the after school care because they aren't ready to leave.Strongly recommended for all students but especially those who don't feel challenged or inspired by learning.

St. Perpetua might be a good fit if what you’re looking for is a very traditional Catholic school experience. But if you’re looking for strong academics, I’d really think twice.In our experience, the school seemed a lot more focused on things like skirt length, uniforms, and Mass than on whether the kids were actually being challenged academically.There are definitely some good teachers there, and I don’t want to take away from that. But overall, the academics felt inconsistent. And honestly, it feels like the diocese doesn’t pay teachers well enough to attract and keep top talent across the board.For what families pay, I expected it to feel meaningfully better than the local public schools. It didn’t. In some ways, it felt like it couldn’t really compete.
