"It’s safe and there are lots of open spaces for children to play. The bike path is incredible! People are friendly and polite."

"The roads are narrow with tight turns. People regularly speed especially to drop kids at the school, so it can be dangerous for walking. There do seem to be a good number of young families, but you rarely see them since the neighborhood is so hilly and winding. There’s very little diversity, but that can be said for Mill Valley as a whole. Overall the views can be great and it’s peaceful, but the community isn’t warm and fuzzy. "

Our family has had an amazing experience at MTS. I remember reading the two older negative reviews on this website when we were deciding whether our oldest would attend MTS. I'm glad that we decided to weigh and look beyond them to be a part of this community. Our experience has been so different that I almost don't believe it's the same school and team!We have two students at MTS and they've both been there since Kindergarten. It's been an amazing experience. The staff ("Professional Community" or "ProComm") is exceptional and uniquely passionate about teaching our children. Andrew and the team have created a deeply earnest, warm, and energetic experience for families that truly makes learning fun. Like most kids, ours are great at some subjects and developing at others. They come home highly engaged with all of them - a feat in both directions.The school's completing a multi-year building project to update all the facilities, including a new building for the middle school. It has created some burden at school - but hey, by this time next year it'll be long in the past.They've made strong strides in Andrew's first decade at the school and I think everyone is hopeful it will continue to ascend for years to come.
