Like another review the vice principal is so rude and inconsiderate. My son came here to the early learning program and his teachers were horrible ! He was 4 and they wanted him to be acting like a 1st grade student. She was so monotone and seemed like she hated her job. The little ones need an excited , fun, young teacher not one that looks miserable from the beginning of the day to the end. Majority of students/parents are Spanish speaking only. They would complain about my son not understanding them in Spanish and complained about how distracted he was in class and “only wanting to play” HE’S 4!!!!! Of course he just wants to play. TK is about learning to socialize. He would cry every morning and night begging me not to take him the next day. I gave him a few months and things only got worse. They refused to let me do half day so he can adjust they knew he’d never been in a classroom setting before (of course , they want the full day funding) it truly is all about the money here. I ended up pulling him out. I had a meeting hoping they would be more compassionate and supportive and the vice principal pretty much said “it’s only going to get harder in kindergarten we won’t talk to him in English at all if he’s not understanding , it will strictly be Spanish” SO DONT BE FOOLED BY THEM SAYING ITS DUAL IMMERSION. From personal experience you’re either fluent or you’re screwed. Horrible horrible school. I’ve been talking to other parents and sharing my experience with everyone I know and they find the whole situation so suspicious. They also have staff around the kids who’s names and positions they did not want to disclose to me for privacy reasons. I said “I AM ALLOWED TO KNOW WHOS AROUND MY CHILD!” And they never gave me her name. He never went back to that place. Fast forward he’s still traumatized, I ask if he wants to go back to school and he cries and begs no. I’ll never know what they did to him and I’ll always have that guilt. He still says “they would get mad” shame on you “teachers” you’re supposed to be supporting our kids growth not traumatizing them.
