"I've lived here in the area for the past 5 years, and see no harm in living is the Southwest area. It has entertainment, restaurants, and shopping within 30 min from one another. Five minutes away from I-5, 10 to 20 minutes away from freeway 54 and I-805."

"Shopping is close, and if necessary, I can walk to the bus stop and catch the bus. After 8:30 the neighborhood starts to settle down."

"It’s a relatively safe neighbor, but not many families with children. Neighbors keep to themselves, with a few that occasionally say hi or wave"

"Presently live in old Chula Vista for the past 2 yrs and Lived in Eastlake for 6 yrs about 20 yrs ago. I feel safe where I'm at for the most part but, felt safer in Eastlake. Chula Vista overall has a somewhat negative reputation but that's not even close to the truth. It's a safe friendly neighborhood/City."

"I have no children and have no idea how the schools rank in scholastic achievement. It’s my guess that the high Asian and Hispanic population brings that score above average. I see kids playing only occasionally"

"There are a lot of parks nearly on each block. It might not be good to walk them on a hot day because not a lot of streets have shade coverage to make the sidewalk cooler. "

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhy this school sucks:The music teacher called me disgusting and told me to "back off" because I had a sore throat. The new music teacher is a weirdo. He always puts on the "sigma boy" song for the kindergartners. The school's cafeteria food made me sick. I had diarrhea. I got better when I stopped eating it.The students in my class just fight and slap each other in the classroom. Most teachers don't care about the students. The kids are obsessed with saying brainrot.Other Review9mo ago5 Reviews - Loma Verde Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible experience. Would not recommend, teachers are extremely inexperienced. School is dirty and the auditorium is super small and stinky. Cafeteria staff sent my son to all day field trip with a box of cereal and warm milk. This school is disgusting and needs some serious changes!Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Parkview Elementary School
