"This is a safe neighborhood, but no street lights, sidewalks, or anything for kids. Just tell them not to play in the road."

"Kids driving bicycles on the street is not safe. Cars drive very fast in the roads of the neighborhood"

"It’s quiet and we have several secluded homes on 1+acres. I definitely have enjoyed raising my kids in this neighborhood."

"Lived here three years. Neighbors stick to themselves. Only wave to one neighbor no one else outwardly friendly."

"12 years here. The only thing I wish we had were sidewalks and streetlights, but that’s a stretch for rural alaska."

This school makes an effort to meet every child where they are at academically and adapt the curriculum to meet their learning styles. Every child is loved and appreciated for who they are by everyone at the school.Parent Review8y ago2 Reviews - Teeland Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teacher my older child has seems to truly care about her students and their differences. My younger child that attends has made so much process in the SPED program! I’m so glad we took are children here. The principal was responsive when we were preparing to transition our children. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone!Parent Review7y ago5 Reviews - Cornerstone Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was doing poorly in public school and couldn't read by the end of 1st grade. We withdrew him 33 days before school ended and with this school's help over the summer he not only caught up but surpassed the average scores when tested! This school is reasonable in price and the quality of education is excellent! My oldest daughter who is a lawyer and licensed in two states was amazed with this school when watching her little brother for a week! I love this school. The teachers love their job and it shows!Parent Review14y ago1 Reviews - Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can’t speak to the past but my children go there now. My experience has been amazing, my teenage kids are attending and have attended recently. This school has all new admin, newly renovated classrooms, new rigorous classical curriculum with a focus on deep intellectual topics and discussion. I have seen all my children thrive at this school. My son struggled in math and writing in public school and now these are his favorite topics, mostly due to the teaching style at OLV. Staff is amazing and engaging with parents and really want to teach. This school has small classroom sizes, solid foundation in writing, public speaking, apologetics, theology, Latin, literature (public high school would consider the literature and writing at OLV advanced placement for older high schoolers). When my daughter moved on to public high school she was adequately prepared and performed well above her peers. I love this school because it has helped my children grow in faith and knowledge, and has built on what I have tirelessly instilled in them (morals, values, and faith). I highly recommend this school to families that want a solid faith based education. Best part is there is daily mass, I love attending with my kids when ableParent Review7mo ago8 Reviews
