6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne time I got in a fight because this one kid kept bullying me for a whole quarter and kept threatening to fight and it just got annoying. He splashed some juice on me and I blocked it with my hand and tried to turn it at him and then he got mad and was threatening to fight and since he was just so annoying I gave in. But I didn't really fight, all I did was flip him over on the ground and weakly stepped on him so that he didn't try to fight me, a teacher saw this and took us to the office where he said "This guy was repeatedly stomping on this kids head, I'ma take him to the nurse" before I even got a single word out and then the staff wouldn't listen to my side of the story and just gave me in-house for the day and (once again, without listening to my side of the story) suspended me for 2.5 weeks, charged me with battery and assault, and filed the fight as a racially motivated fight JUST BECAUSE I'm white and he isn't. Once I returned I asked my Algebra 1 teacher for help on understanding all the stuff that I missed and she flat out rejected just because "that was two weeks ago" and she just told me to watch the Khan Academy videos which not only took just as long to watch as the amount of time I stayed after school, meaning she could've just explained it, but the videos didn't help at all. Another thing, my English teacher couldn't teach the class if her life depended on it, she would somewhat try teaching the class but gave up when the other kids kept talking, and she never, EVER, even tried telling the class to be quiet. Also in my reading class while I was talking to my friend, we would joke around like normal and say rude things in a joking manner and she thought that I was bullying him (keep in mind this was the guy I hung out with everyday) and instead of saying something like "that's very rude to say, don't let it happen again or you're going to the office" she started being rude to me and yelled at me something like "NEVER SAY THAT IN MY CLASS" almost as if I just said 10 different slurs. Also there were constant fights throughout my time there, at some point after school, I was walking to my bus and saw an 8th grade girl yelling cuss words while being restrained by 3 cops. I would not recommend going to this school at all.Student Review5mo ago23 Reviews - Spring Valley High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs some of this may fall onto the food system for the school, the food is horrible and not nutritious or filling enough. The Principle, Ms. Powell, is quite unfair to teachers and her expectations of how they run their classrooms. This leads into teachers having harsh deadlines and an impossible amount of emails from other staff and the Principle herself. This school also features a selection of teachers who make it clear that they are only here for their paycheck, and don't care about the students well being. Most teachers won't let you use the restroom because it "interrupts the flow of class," even if it's within a private study period and 10 minutes of a bell. The kindest people at this school, in my personal experience, have been the counselors. If you have a student going to Spring Valley, don't pressure them as much, they probably have a hard time with their teachers enough.Student Review3mo ago17 Reviews - Check out schools near Zzzz Spring Valley.

"Dog park right across the street. The neighbors behind me have 4 little yappers that bark a lot & are annoying but for the most part people are amazing with their dogs and pick up after them in the dog gates area. "

"From 2020, our children cannot play outside. Every year it is more and more dangerous to live in Las Vegas. In our community, several dangerous guys took pictures of children while they were playing, and since then we no longer let children outside. No area in Las Vegas is safe for families."

"There are doggy stations for poop pick up. The dog owners take care of their dogs, walk them, and there are never off leash dogs roaming around. The dog owners keep their dogs quiet at all times."
