"I have to drive about 10 miles to work and it only takes me about 15 minutes to get there. Thereโ€™s really never any traffic in our city unless there is a bad accident or something then the highways seem to get backed up in a few of the back roads also."
  • Redesquire
"Itโ€™s walkability to so many places & things. We walk to dinner on Frankfort Avenue, soccer matches & events in NuLu!"
  • Hredmon
"Itโ€™s a great area for dog owners. There are a few restaurants that allow dogs in their patio/outdoor area. "
  • Valerie
"Old Fashioned 4th of July on Peterson. Chilli cook-off in fall. Trolly hop Fridays. Easter Parade. Close to Hillcrest - aka Halloween Street. Early service music series at Mellwood Tavern. "
  • Kristi T.
"There are lots of dogs here being walked all of the time. If you live in an apartment they are super loud above you."
  • Rebecha.holmes
"Seems like a safe area. Not a lot of what seems to be criminal activity. Regularly see kiddos out walking around. "
  • Tim S.
"2 min from highway. Downtown is a 10 min drive during rush hour. Quickest commute among my co-workers."
  • Tim S.
"Everyone has a dog! People are friendly with their pets and always stop to let their pets say hello. Many restaurants allow dogs! Pet events!"
  • Marlew2000
"living here temporarily while I search for a house i. another area of town. not a bad end of yown though."
  • Emilycmetzger
"Clifton is a great place to live with lots of wonderful people around. It is pretty safe and I walk my dogs alone at night often. "
  • juanita j. r.
"I really like the area but don't always feel as safe as other areas. Parking can be difficult so you need a garage or off street parking to live in this area."
  • Andrew B.
"Clifton lofts residents keep to themselves and are very courteous and kind. The grounds are very clean and the rooftop terrace area is a great getaway. The workout facility is clean and a nice bonus."
  • zpjohnstone
"I've lived in Clifton for almost 15 years, in two different houses- One on Payne and one on Vernon. The restaurants and other amenities on Frankfort Avenue are awesome and the train that run alongside Frankfort Avenue not only adds a certain charm, but keeps the concentration of commercial activity in balance with the rest of the neighborhood. Our child is in his 6th year at Field (starting with Pre-K) and has really enjoyed going there. The access to parks is tops, including easy access to Cherokee Park via the Creek walkway/bike path. "
