"Best weather in San Francisco!! Neighbors are super friendly and down to earth and care for each other! Great neighborhood for Gardens of all kinds!! Love it here !"
  • Leila Wozniak
"Library events, farmers markets, street cleanup, tree planting, street festivals, soccer games, food trucks. "
  • Leila Wozniak
"It’s more family friendly than you’d think. We have renovated and clean 7 playgrounds within close walking distance, lots of cute family events around the neighborhood etc. "
  • Trulia User
"We had lots of favorite walks for our dogs. My only complaint is that public trash cans for disposing waste are few and far between. "
  • Trulia User
"it's not a place I'd raise a family in, bad influences everywhere. I've gotten robbed, my cars stolen, property damaged, and every now and then, there are gun shots."
  • Trulia User
"we might have a haunted house for the kids and a party but they trick a treat before the night falls "
  • Trulia User
"There are programs who do things like back to school events, weekend bbq’s to support local small businesses which is still a way to give back to the community. Some of the programs in the community also do things like free vaccines and health products (toothbrush, masks, hand sanitizer etc) to give back. They have health ambassadors who also walk around the community and give out food bank produce to the elderly who aren’t able to leave their homes. Those same health ambassadors give out things for holidays like Easter baskets or Halloween buckets to the children of the community. "
  • Trulia User
"There’s a lot of street trash and dogs can eat something that could be harmful. It is very walkable."
  • Zenatam
"Good street. Same neighborhood. No dogs and cats for me, but owners love it. All they have to do is pick up after themselves "
  • Kellyahagan555
"Well for starters being a previous dog owner my dog deathly scared of fireworks. you would swear its 4th of July all year round bc there is always fireworks or some loud noises always going off. so if you have skittish dogs, not the place for you "
  • Elaina J.
"Great for public transit. Very easily accessible. Area is very diverse. Lots of community activities."
  • Chris H.
"It is quiet with nice weather. The public transit on the T line is convenient. Some cute food places at a good price, wine, pizza, sandwiches, coffee shop. There is bayview park which is a large hill with amazing views. "
  • Bigjames.sfc
"I’ve been here my entire life! I love my Nieghborhood. Alot of home grown folks still here. A lot shops and restaurants popping up!"
  • Zenatam
"I like the city, mountains, and ocean view, all in one view. There are few places like this one. I like the large presence of diversity "
  • Zenatam
"Find a private school as the neighborhood public schools are below standard . Most are below 5.0Thank you"
  • Danielle C.
"Harvest festival in Jennings st and they have different booths at the event. They also have a roller skate day there "
  • Fil
"Nice place getting better still a work in progress, love the views that we have around the neighbor hood"
  • Neighbor
"It’s a ok neighborhood it’s getting better as more apartments are being built, we will see what happens with more apartments and less and less parking:("
  • Emily
"There’s a lot more space for your money in Bayview, with convenient access to the rest of the city. It’s ideal to have a private, fenced yard when you have a dog, which can be hard to find in other parts of the city."
  • Bigjames.sfc
"Black Cuisine every first Saturday in March where with music dancing vendor booths and don’t forget the soul food entry is FREE! And let’s not forget Sunday Streets! "
  • Jes M.
"Quick and easy or I work from home. either way it's a straight shot on 3rd to central SF or down Jerrold to Bayshore and the Mission. Street parking isn't dreamy but it's not as bad as other popular neighborhoods in SF. "
  • Morphthecolor
"lots of parks and places to walk. other dogs in the neighborhood. there are a lot of hills and stores close early"
  • Yehvonne k.
"Lot's of churches close by. A lot of places to eat. Transportation is the best. Help for the homeless in surrounding areas. Plenty of free food give aways. Activities for Seniors close by. close to Candle Stick Park and the AT&T Packbell Park. Easy access to the Bay Bridge. Close to downtown. last but not least, We have the best weather. YMK"
  • Marysandstrom
"I've lived here for 18 years. So many people told me and my family that the area was the worst in the city. We took a chance and ended up living in the best neighborhood for weather, great neighbors, public transportation, proximity to the airport, city parks, UCSF, AT&T Park, upcoming Warriors Stadium, downtown, the waterfront, walkability, fantastic food, and shopping. We were blessed to have had the opportunity to live in the Bayview and Hunters Point neighborhood."
  • Evangela W.
"Transportation easy accessible just a perfect area to live and to community is a great area to live, raise children and over all be happy"
  • James w. g. c.
"Ready for investment. It just needs some care and attention. Community engagement and more restaurants."
  • James w. g. c.
"Potential for gentrification and investment. If you can wait it out.. this neighborhood is the new now next. The further away from 3rd the better for flat % gain. However closer to 3rd offers great up % potential."
  • Mjstardom
"We're mostly ungentrified so still a lot of diversity. Though we may not have the best reputation, we sure do have the liveliest community."
  • Jacquie B.
"The people here are friendly. They actually say hello, and mostly all the people are neighborly. There's a new farmers' market and many great resturants that are run by locals. The Opera House has great events monthly and all holidays."
  • Jacquie B.
"Easy and smooth. Several bus and train lines run throughout BVHP. Muni and Uber make it easy to leave your car parked."
  • Brittany J.
"There are lots of huge parks nearby for dogs and their caretakers."
  • Brittany J.
"Bayview has great views and tons of unique restaurants. They are improving the area by rebuilding some schools and other buildings."
  • Brittany J.
"I usually commute by car, but I also like to commute via Lyft or Uber."
