3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI will say the support from this school, principal vice principal through the online portals of accountability is very high and they go out of their way to make sure your children succeed!! as well as the security of the school extinguishing fires before they become dangerous is to make a parent feel comfortable. All three of my children have been in the school over the years. And it’s also on the parents of your child success of how much involvement you have it’s teamwork between the school and parents and child.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Martin Luther King, Jr School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from canada and we are new to sacramento, we enrolled our son and daughter into this school but we experienced some difficulties with this change along with my kids being the new kids there. Our kids came back from school and were not happy. they said they experienced some bullying and teasing. my daughter seen these group of kids teasing my son but no teacher or grown up there watching or stopping them from doing so, i thought it would stop after a week, but no it only got worse. We picked up my son from school and we were greeted with an unpleasant sight, he was so upset and he was crying about the amount of teasing he was receiving and i have had it, my daughter tried to get a teacher that day but they didn’t help nor bother to check up and see what was wrong. So i decided to take it up to the principal about it and discussed it with him, we had a meeting and he said it would’ve dealt with. was it resolved? no. my son continued to experience the bullying at the school and was still teased, it told me a lot about the staff at the school. So i just pulled out my kids of the district. i hope you guys see this and realize this school isn’t a good choice for your children.Parent Review2mo ago19 Reviews - Check out schools near Benham.

"There are a lot of festivals through out the year that are family friendly. Along the river you will find beaches for families to swim or tube. There’s Old Sacramento for family entertainment."

"It’s lighter than the Bay Area, but getting heavier as time goes by in one section of the freeway. The drive into the Bay Area is particularly heavy going towards Davis on the causeway."

"Lots of members of my neighborhood walk their dogs together. We look out for each other. However the neighborhood doesn’t really have any special events or activities. Garcia Bend Park is lovely! "

"There are several parks nearby, the Sacramento River is a short walk away. If you enjoy birds, there are beautiful birds all over the water way. There are bike trails that surround the pocket. The conveniences around this neighborhood are numerous. The pocket was well thought out and a great place to live."

"They can walk along the River. There are lots of green belts. Sadly, many dog owners are irresponsible and don’t pick up their dog’s feces. (Mostly because they also violate leash laws and don’t leash their pets.) If you come to our neighborhood, bring your dogs, but please leash them and pick up after them!"

"The Pocket/Greenhaven is one of the better neighborhoods we’ve lived in. We moved here from the Silicon Valley and this place is such a beautiful place to raise our kids. It’s quiet and peaceful and within walking distance to schools, parks, grocery stores, the gym and more. "

"Dog owners love people to be polite and kind to them and their animals at all times. However, being out in public in this type of nice neighborhood. Most people feel safe to walk their animals along the Levy and side walks. I enjoy living in pocket and seeing everyone happy ! "
