Most of the kids in my child's class are right on grade level and there is also an advanced reading group. My child has loved all of the teachers and also loves the family events. We are so excited and proud to be part of a school that is improving.Parent Review6y ago9 Reviews - McKinley Middle School

"It’s DC, the traffic is going to be bad everywhere. Commute into the city is best via public transit. Driving is going to get you stuck in traffic"

"4 or 5 dog parks within a 10 minute walk. Super safe, lots of fun friendly floofs! There are two different dog parks within five minutes of my house and it’s fun to get to know the regulars!"

"It’s a great neighborhood, but I’m not sure that it is unique. Recently, it received a historic designation from the city. Many of the older residents have left. The homes are being updated and occupied by singles and couples with young families; some with dog(s). The Giant on 7th Street, Harris Teeter on 1st Street NE, and Trader Joe’s on Florida Ave NE are the closest grocery stores; debatable re comfortable walk. "
