Description

This beautiful 425 square foot private home on 1 acre was built 3 years ago, and is in a neighborhood of other lovely off-grid homes. The inside has huge windows (with great views of the green green forest!), and all modern conveniences. On 1 private acre, and close to the state forest. Located 3 miles from 7 Cedars casino, an easy drive to Highway 101. A 320 square foot living space (see pictures), with a bathroom and bathtub. Theres also a 200 square foot screened in porch with a view of the seasonal pond. So great to drink coffee outside first thing in the morning when the birds are singing! Washer hook up (clothesline to dry). Generator, inverter, and batteries allow us to spend about $45 a month for energy (propane heat). Internet also allows one of us to work from home seamlessly and easily ($40 a month from T-Mobile). Several above ground wood planters. The bedroom and kitchen have flower boxes outside their windows. The home is rural, quaint, and beautiful. Wood stove. Propane heat, propane refrigerator, and propane stove/oven. Water is from a deep aquifer delivering the best tasting water. Outside parking for 3 vehicles. A huge front 320 square foot trex deck for outside enjoyment, large bonfire pit for evening get togethers. Beautiful glass front door opens onto the deck, with the scenic beauty of the surrounding forest. Large skylights; 1 above the bed and 1 above the kitchen. The seasonal pond with so many frogs in the springtime; nature comes alive each day upon awakening! Fenced backyard. Eagles regularly fly above. The term forest bathing was created in a place like this.

"Outstanding panoramic views of the Olympic Mountain range. 1/2 mile to the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge and Dungeness Spit. Quiet golf course community with private roads. Adjacent wildlife reserve. Adjacent to woods, two owned building lots adjacent building lots to protect the mountain views. Fenced backyard plus kennel. Outbuilding for storage."
  • Electricskies2001
"This area is a fairly quiet place to live. The area is far enough away from downtown to not be congested, but close enough to be convenient to all major shopping on Washington ST. There is a local neighborhood park nearby, and although Fifth Ave is used as a shortcut to Sequim AVE, it's manageable. Really, this area is okay for anyone, but they should be open minded for young families and/or families with young children as the area seems to have quite a few."
