As a community partner I am so impressed with the quality of the staff at Delevan Drive elementary. From the cafeteria workers, TA's and after school programs, to the teachers and administration this is a school where people enjoy working. This joy translates to high quality care for students and longterm stability among staff members. The custodian and his team take good care of the facilities, even during the ongoing construction and have student safety as their top priority.. We have an incredible social worker who offers targeted social-emotional support to students who most need it (which benefits the whole school). The front office staff are both kind and competent which contribute to a calm and welcoming school environment and experience. The special education program is well established and differentiated for the success of all students. I'm grateful to be a part of this amazing school community and realize what a gem it is within the larger LAUSD network. This is a place where all students are welcome, cared for, and provided tangible support for their success.

Our son is currently in the 8th grade at Eagle Rock Junior Senior High School and loves it. In fact, when offered the opportunity to attend a private school instead, our son chose to stay at Eagle Rock. It’s because his teachers care and have made him feel seen and important. They find unique ways engage and inspire their students in the learning process. Our son comes home excited by what he’s learning in school and likes the way his teachers make the learning come to life. We do notice that the school often looks like it needs a fresh coat of paint and like the gardener forgot to blow the leaves away but none of this matters to our son. He loves his teachers and we think that pretty special.
