Lack of holding kids accountable for bullying is a joke, process for handling situations is a joke and interrogating kids without presence of a parent or legal guardian is a joke which includes failure to provide details per each instance for bullying. This is coming from own child being constantly bullied but students and teachers. Some teachers are honestly good and decent human beings that do care about the kids, but a lot are two faced, treat kids poorly, high lack of taking ownership for their own poor actions, singling children out and angry towards parent when try to get details on what happened. Have tried reaching out to principal multiple times for help with problems with teachers, bullying, etc. and only advises to talk to the teachers , but doesn’t help any further than that. I’m just so over this school and highly don’t recommend to anyone. My child wouldn’t have had to go there this year, if the other schools tried to get into weren’t full already for the 22-23 school year.Parent Review1y ago - Chaparral High School

Only constructive feedback would be to reduce the quantity of tests/quizzes in classes, and grade the homework assigned thereby rewarding effort more. This high school weighs tests a lot, so this load will potentially a lot more difficult for students than their college courses will be. It is VERY VERY difficult to get all As at this school in the honors / AP pathway. Chap has great sports, a fantastic theater department, and many extracurricular offerings. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSierra Middle School in Parker is a very poor school to send your child to. The special ed. teacher needs to retire. She is rude and very disrespectful and because she is mad at a parent because the teacher got reprimanded she makes sure to take it out on the special needs child. The district needs to take the time to start cleaning house over there and get rid of teachers like the special ed. teacher among others at this school. When there is a problem at this school they ignore it because that’s the easy way out!! They don’t care about the kids! "This neighborhood is full of kids of all ages and is far from quiet. I would say half of the kids are behaved and play well with each other and the other half roam the neihgborhood and invade peoples privacy, space and property."

"Nice, working class neighborhood and one of the only non-HOA communities in Parker. It's quiet, safe, and most of the neighbors are friendly. The homes are a bit older so the trees are much larger than other neighborhoods in the area. I've called Cottonwood home for 8 years and my daughter has pretty much grown up here. I'm sad that my family has to leave and will always hold the area dear to my heart."

"It takes only seconds to leave the neighborhood to get to a major road. It is close to King Soopers, Costco, and many other stores and restaurants. The location is ideal between Parker and Centennial/DTC."

"There is no school located within the neighborhood. If they attend the public school, they must ride the bus more than 4 miles. I will not let my children out by themselves in the front yard because of traffic. Yards are larger than most newer homes which provides play space. There is a great park, Cottonwood Park West, within walking distance."

"Cottonwood is unique because it's the older part of Northern Parker. It has several recreational parks which includes the Cherry Creek trails where you can explore and enjoy nature while biking, walking or however you like to relax or exercise. Also, there's a ton of restaurants to eat from and the city of Parker is expanding its housing with new apartment complexes and homes both south and north."

"I have seen many people walking their furry friends. Cottonwood is very dog friendly. I believe that most apartment complexes have a dog park and if not, there's always the parks and trail. It's where families and furry friends can live and enjoy the outdoors."

"My typical commute to and from my neighborhood is typically busy. The town of Parker itself has continued to grow over the years and I've lived here for four to five years so traffic is bad in the mornings and afternoons. I live by Parker Adventist and there's a ton of traffic going both ways."

"I think just the parks in Cottonwood and the trail that runs through Cottonwood is important for parents who want to unwind with the kids or even by themselves. Also, the hospital is right up the road from Cottonwood so a trip to the hospital isn't far at all."
