"This neighborhood is full of kids of all ages and is far from quiet. I would say half of the kids are behaved and play well with each other and the other half roam the neihgborhood and invade peoples privacy, space and property."
  • Dcoop171
"Nice, working class neighborhood and one of the only non-HOA communities in Parker. It's quiet, safe, and most of the neighbors are friendly. The homes are a bit older so the trees are much larger than other neighborhoods in the area. I've called Cottonwood home for 8 years and my daughter has pretty much grown up here. I'm sad that my family has to leave and will always hold the area dear to my heart."
  • Flapjackroberts
"Love it! Parks, bike paths, shopping, recreation center, seasonal activities and events. Parker is a great place to live!"
  • Stacy T.
"Smaller older homes and everyday people, not stuffy."
  • Stacy T.
"We have our own small dogpark and trails going through Cottonwood. Easily accessible is the Cherry Creek Trail which is miles long."
  • Stacy T.
"Commuting is easy from cottonwood subdivision. Major roads every direction to take."
  • Stacy T.
"Lots of young adults with small children located in Cottonwood. Lots of parks including dog parks to take your kids and pups."
  • Amy S.
"It is a neighborhood of starter homes near a nice park. It is one of the least expensive areas in Parker. It is an old neighborhood with most of the homes built in the 1970's or early 1980's."
  • Amy S.
"There are too many dog owners with their dogs off leash in the Cottonwood area -- especially around the park and bike paths."
  • Amy S.
"The commute is easy and the neighborhood is relatively safe."
  • Amy S.
"The Cottonwood neighborhood is a relatively safe neighborhood."
  • Rachelle B.
"Cottonwood is an older, established neighborhood. There is no HOA and is a bit run down, particularly certain areas."
  • Rachelle B.
"This is a dog neighborhood. Tons of them! Which also means lots of barking."
  • Rachelle B.
"It takes only seconds to leave the neighborhood to get to a major road. It is close to King Soopers, Costco, and many other stores and restaurants. The location is ideal between Parker and Centennial/DTC."
  • Rachelle B.
"There is no school located within the neighborhood. If they attend the public school, they must ride the bus more than 4 miles. I will not let my children out by themselves in the front yard because of traffic. Yards are larger than most newer homes which provides play space. There is a great park, Cottonwood Park West, within walking distance."
  • Rachel O.
"It has the feel of a small town/ farm town, but it is just a hop skip and a jump away from city life."
  • Rachel O.
"There is an AWESOME fenced in dog park that is humongous! You can't see all the fence lines. There are trails and rivers."
  • Rachel O.
"E-470 is the most convenient, yet expensive way to get places by car. It does feel like unless you take the toll road, you have to go pretty far around to get where you wanna go."
  • Rachel O.
"It has a good school district. Lots of activities for kids and families. The crime rate is kinda hit or miss. There is a neighborhood with multiple registered sex offenders off of Cottonwood in between Jordan and Parker road on the south side of the road."
  • Felicia C.
"Older homes. Your house doesn't look exactly like your neighbors'."
  • Felicia C.
"There are a lot of parks and trails and open spaces nearby."
  • Felicia C.
"Always see children playing and families outside."
  • Felicia C.
"It's a family safe neighborhood. There are a lot of parks within walking distance."
  • Rena R.
"Cottonwood is unique because it's the older part of Northern Parker. It has several recreational parks which includes the Cherry Creek trails where you can explore and enjoy nature while biking, walking or however you like to relax or exercise. Also, there's a ton of restaurants to eat from and the city of Parker is expanding its housing with new apartment complexes and homes both south and north."
  • Rena R.
"I have seen many people walking their furry friends. Cottonwood is very dog friendly. I believe that most apartment complexes have a dog park and if not, there's always the parks and trail. It's where families and furry friends can live and enjoy the outdoors."
  • Rena R.
"My typical commute to and from my neighborhood is typically busy. The town of Parker itself has continued to grow over the years and I've lived here for four to five years so traffic is bad in the mornings and afternoons. I live by Parker Adventist and there's a ton of traffic going both ways."
  • Rena R.
"I think just the parks in Cottonwood and the trail that runs through Cottonwood is important for parents who want to unwind with the kids or even by themselves. Also, the hospital is right up the road from Cottonwood so a trip to the hospital isn't far at all."
