1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience was great overall as in I loved working there. Staff is friendly and the kids can be a little rough behaviorally. The cultural diversity is amazing and the families are really neat to get to know. The constant turnover in staff is difficult to make connections in the school.Teacher Review7y ago2 Reviews - Nicholas J. Begich Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has challenging behaviors such as play games on his chromebooks in classes, , but teachers are really wanting to help him, such as replying to my emails, pointing the works he needs to do . inform me his behaviors, giving us suggestions, or even give him extra credit if he does anything extra. School is located in very safe area with Fire station near by, police cars stand by etc. During this pandemic, my sons classes are open, so he has social interactions with other kids etc.One thing do bother me is that he can play online games on school issued chromebook, but I do not believe Begich can do anything.Parent Review4y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 8595 Rangeview Ave #2.

"Nearby school, fairly quiet compared to others areas on this side of town. Well kept yards, neighbors are friendly but respect your privacy. Some loose dogs roam the neighborhood but don’t cause any problems besides barking and they don’t seem to be strays. Nice and spacious mid-century single family homes. Some issues with people speeding and skipping stop signs later at night. No issues with packages and deliveries being left on the porch. Overall a good place to live. "

"Cheney Lake creates such a beautiful community with people running, walking dogs, kids playing, kayaking. During winter time the lake freezes and people are out ice skating and making food. It’s really a nice place! "

"I've lived in the northeast side of Anchorage for over 20 years now. I used to consider it a safe, nice area. Crime has become quite common, and I'm seeking a new community outside Anchorage to finish raising my teenager safely. "
