9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son started at Morningside in Kindergarten. He is now finishing his 5th grade year here. My daughter is finishing 1st grade after starting in their Role Model program at age 3. Overall, we have had a great experience here. My kids have loved all of their teachers, they have enjoyed many fun activities put on by the PTSA and the teachers and they've been able to take advantage of some really wonderful after school activities. There is a surprising amount of affordable and fun after school activities here for it being a public school. We have made some very close friends through the years at Morningside. There is a strong community of parents who really care about making the elementary and middle school experience here a good one for the kids who attend. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.Parent Review6y ago11 Reviews - Horace Mann Middle School

"It’s getting better but I would give it another 2-3 years until it’s completely gentrified. Little Haiti is not an ideal area for children maybe for couples or singles."

"Full of life yet quiet and fairly crime-free for location. Establish residents speak to each other and watch out for each other. Close to everything and to highways (less than 1 mile to Midtown, 1 mile to Wynwood, blocks from the 95, 1/2 mile to 112 expressway. 5 miles from Downtown and Port of Miami. It doesn't get any more convenient."
