"Congested more than when I moved here unfortunately. Driving has gotten more difficult. Homelessness has increased."
  • Trulia User
"There are no neighborhood events. However it is near other larger neighborhoods nearby that have events."
  • Trulia User
"Pretty decent neighborhood. Very quiet but there is some steady noise from the nearby 210. Grocery stores are nearby but be prepared to pay a dollar extra at the pump compared to other areas. Sunland, Sun Valley & San Fernando have the cheapest gas in the area so keep that in mind."
  • Trulia User
"been living here for 6 months leases up finally can't wait to get out of here. there's not a lot of crime at all it's actually really boring, the majority of the people around here that just make it an unpleasant place to live. fast food restaurants and retail stores in my immediate area have some of the rudest employees of any of their respective chain stores that I've ever been to ever so unprofessional. all the dining rooms at the fast food restaurants in the neighborhood closed by 7:00 p.m. sometimes earlier so if you don't have a car dinner might be a problem unless you like to cook or have the extra cash to have Uber eats or whatever deliver for you everyday. this is only run once an hour or so and there's usually very inconsistent sometimes really early sometimes really late, there are two buses that passed down foothill one of them being the 90 lm pay attention to which church engine you're using and be extra cautious sellers little to no activityone of them being the 690 the 690 if they close attention do not get on the wrong bus or you will end up in the middle of nowhere for an hour because they will not sto"

"Love this area. Very well maintained and everyone is very friendly. I have also been living here for over 15 years and it’s still my favorite city to be"
  • Trulia User
"Dog friendly area where people follow leash law and pick up after their dog. There is a nearby park where you can take your dog. There are also a few dog friendly restaurants. "
  • Trulia User
"Very violent homeless problem and irresponsible drivers, accidents are daily in this area. It’s very neighborly in some areas but in others it’s not so welcoming. Also be expecting loud noises from 12 am- 7am"
  • Joeygee91
"It’s a nice area to get away from things but only has one Main Street that very dangerous! You hear many cars racing and sirens "
  • Swindellat
"There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood. People mostly leave them in their yards but some are out and about walking them. There is a nice dog park in Montrose."
  • Swindellat
"Lots of people walking their dogs in the neighborhood. There are several dog friendly restaurants. People in the area are dog people. "
  • Mostafamajedi.ir

"It’s a quiet hidden gem, the mountains and sunsets are lovely. The community is special- unlike any other city I’ve ever lived in. "
  • Chris_w_castro
"I have lived in the Sunland/Tujunga area for over 10 years. It has great parks and stores. It is central to all major cities, which makes commuting fast and easy. New home owners and business investors are really making an impact and transforming Sunland. Great town!!!"
  • Vanessa A.
"It’s the best little town and very affordable! I love it here. I’ve lived here for 7 years. It’s perfect!!"
  • Japand13
"There is a high number of homeless people. the people that live here are not overly nice. and packages are stolen quite often. "
  • Joshua R. W.
"This city is beautifully nestled in the foothills of the mountains. There's not much to eat here after 10 pm and public transportation is a challenge. "
  • Eve R.
"Commute from Sunland is easy with freeway access points everywhere. Foothill Blvd gets a bit crowded and chaotic, but you can always take the 210 instead. "
  • Artin K.
"Very friendly neighbors, you always see people walking theirs dogs, days and nights, everyone’s super friendly and NEIGBOR’s always keep an eye on each other’s, bought a house in this area about a year ago and I am loving it "
  • Kelleycenteno
"It’s like living in a small town but convenient to the big cities. There is less traffic and it feels like home. Lived here my whole life. "
  • Bpeachy269
"The family- community of love for one another through thick and thin. Never forgetting the struggles of life., and being there for one another to help in times of need ... no matter how badly we may have allowed ourselves to hit such a low. Of it were 10... maybe even 5 years ago, this was a given. As the days go bye. it changes more and more each day into chaos beyomd control.. due to the uprupt changes, culture and family of whom are taking over this once a time a place known as a haven.... "
  • Vardankajberuni
"The area is not well maintained by the city of L.A. and no sidewalks are built outside of main streets."
  • Gizmoandlady c.
"its home always has been great place to grow up four generations of my family have been here. small feel community"
  • Fawndurst
"The critters. Raccoons, skunks and peacocks. I love the nature around us. It’s a pretty quiet and tame area. "
  • Armando g.
"it's a wonderful hidden gem in Los Angeles. we loved living here. the community has a small town feel"
