7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is probably the best school I’ve ever been to but that’s probably just because I’ve been to some pretty terrible schools in the past. The only thing I really have to complain about is the office staff and nurse because the office staff do come off a little rude at first. All the teachers I have are super nice and do generally care about their students, and the counselors are also really good this year. This is just my personal experience though so I can’t determine if this will be a good school or not for you, but overall I recommend.Student Review5mo ago - Evergreen High School

Well run Athletics Dept. , with competitive teams for both boys and girls. Long time Track, Skiing, Women’s gymnastics, sewimming complement tradional BB, FB, wrestling, BB, etc. Excellent track to nationally top tier and Colorado universities and colleges.Parent Review6mo ago - Bergen Valley Intermediate School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe passion felt from Bergen teachers and staff sets the foundation for students to excel. Teachers and staff seem genuinely excited to see the kids each day, to see them in the halls or cafeteria, to greet them in the morning. That sort of attention carries over into individual kids' learning styles and needs all around. We've been so impressed with them and are so glad our kids get to grow up in an environment like that!Parent Review3mo ago - Manning Options School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school supports all students and helps me as a student with special needs succeed. Many of the negative reviews are from when the school had a different principal. I have had bad experiences with some teachers but most are thoughtful and expect all students. Although this school has some dumb rules and high goals. I have found that they do a lot to help students succeed.Student Review7mo ago - Bergen Meadow Primary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of older children myself, I wholeheartedly recommend the Bergens. My experience at the school, both as a ParaProfessional and in the front office, has been nothing short of exceptional. The joy that permeates each day when the students come in is truly remarkable. The teachers are outstanding, demonstrating a genuine love for each child and a sincere commitment to their role as educators. The Bergens school community is actively involved and engaged, making it an ideal environment for a positive and enriching educational experience. I highly encourage other parents to consider the Bergens for their children's education.Other Review4mo ago - Dennison Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnfortunately All five of my siblings and I had the "opportunity" to go to D'Evelyn. However as many would assume/expect that we were lucky, it was the complete opposite experience. I would never recommend this school to anyone... it is actually HORRIBLE. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you care about your child's education, then do not go to this school. No grades, no real guidance, no discipline, no structure and no motivation geared towards actual education. It does not hold kids accountable, does not teach responsibility and does not set kids up for success.Parent Review2mo ago - Jefferson County Open Secondary

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school only works for a very small number of learners. The quality of teachers is really hit or miss. The ideology behind this learning environment is student lead learning. Unfortunately if you have anything other than an outstanding teacher the student is left to fail academically while shouldering the blame for not being self-directed. A few students thrive, unfortunately many are poorly prepared academically for life after high school. The administration is unwilling or unable to fully accept responsibility for the safety of their students during school hours. Drug use, alcohol consumption, and sex on campus does occur at this secondary school which shares a campus with K-6. Do not accept the hype that the community environment is so great that these students respect the rules. I was recently informed that 1/2 of the class in one of my students electives chooses to regularly not attend that class. No attendance is recorded and they are simply unaccounted for during this time. This did not seem problematic to the teacher at all. I'm unsure how this compares to other schools. I was surprised this type of behavior existed, since the number of students that are enrolled at JCOS is so low, and the advisers claim to be deeply invested. The administration's response is that the students are choosing to break the rules and it is not the schools philosophy to police them. There are very few extra curricular activities offered through the school. There is almost no focus on physical education. PE classes that do exist have almost entirely male enrollment. A holistic approach to education is not embraced here. The exceptional outcome that occasionally occurs at this school is promoted as the norm. Please be aware that it is not.Parent Review5y ago - Check out schools near 779 Deer Rest Trail.

"There are not enough dog parks!! Tons of mountain space for my dog to run around but most people are very weird about their dogs and them being off leash. If your dog is well behaved then they should be allowed off leash! More dog parks would help this "

"There are mountain bike trails right down the street and you can bike just about anywhere. Our neighborhood only has one way in and one way out, since it’s tucked behind 70 and 6th ave. It feels safe and secluded, but there’s a ton of highway noise. It also just looks and feels more like Lakewood than Golden. All in all it’s a quick ride into the mountains or city, safe, with beautiful views, kind neighbors, but tons of traffic noise."
