"I am not a fan of the neighborhood, but it seems to be transitioning. I would not allow my kids alone outside. "
  • Randy C.
"Sacramento is really block by block. I would not feel comfortable with my children outside by themselves. At the same time, all people have been very friendly. It is just a very eclectic mix of lifestyles. There is everything from million dollar homeowners to homeless. "
  • Krisjohnson55
"The Golden 1 Center, jury duty, and the state capital building is close by. Easy access to highways "
  • Scott A.
"Alkali Flat is close to midtown and downtown without actually being in either of those neighborhoods, meaning you have reasonable access to it all without being in the middle of it. This is nice in that it makes Alkali Flat a pretty quiet place to come home to at night. On the other hand, I wouldn’t particularly want to walk around here after dark. The homeless population is relatively prevalent, and it gets denser and less sober as you go north."
  • Jessica W.
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 3 years. It has its charm and it’s super close to the new ā€œDOCOā€ but there’s also the downside of waking up to someone sleeping on your porch and rifling through your garbage cans and then just leaving it on the ground for you to pick up."
