4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to this neighborhood specifically to attend Charles Barrett and we couldn't be happier about it. CBES is such a special school. The teachers go out of their way to communicate with parents and the kids feel supported and cared for. The integration of the arts makes learning fun and exciting. Also, having an after school program in the adjacent Rec Center is a lifesaver.Parent Review1y ago - Alexandria City High School

"Friendly neighbors, lots of young families, infants to young kids. There are too many major traffic arteries for kids to play outside unattended, but there are a few good parks and playgrounds. "

"I've lived here for almost years. I have seen so much positive change. Nervous about the impact of the incoming Amazon invasion. Del Ray is the epitome of small town feeling. No chain restaurants or shops and a place that functions and feels like neighborhood. "

"I work from home and therefore have no commute. There’s good access to public transit in the form of busses to the metro stations in Crystal City and Braddock Road. The neighborhood however is reasonably quiet considering its proximity to Route 1. "
