7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have remained in consistent communication with Greenwood Middle School regarding my child and our family’s circumstances. We are currently experiencing homelessness, and while transportation has been provided under the McKinney-Vento Act, no additional supports or resources were offered.I reached out multiple times to school staff, including the 8th-grade counselor and the assigned McKinney-Vento liaison. During a conversation last week, I was assured that no court or criminal involvement would occur as long as communication continued.Despite this, a referral to Juvenile Community Corrections was submitted shortly thereafter. I am compliant, actively working with a housing caseworker, and have made every effort to work collaboratively with the school.I hope the school will improve communication and ensure that McKinney-Vento protections and supports are fully implemented for students and families experiencing housing instability.Parent Review5mo ago9 Reviews - Greenwood Northeast Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNo diversity. The leadership has to the worse, I have dealt with. I filed a complaint on them, next thing I know they lying saying I was sending my child to school with just applesauce(his snack) as his nutritional meal, although he has been eating a hot tray from school since the beginning of the school year and has 38 dollars active on his account. Whew, if this ain't libel and slander, I'm confused. I asked to incorporate some learning into my son classroom to help him with reading (a bookmark) and was told its one teacher and 20 students. A teacher who has her own child in the classroom may I mention, therefore the accommodation for that child learning is probably being met every step of the way. A teacher that will communicated negative behavior but no progress of positive progression, which bothers me, because we shouldn't only communicate when its negative about the student. A point I made to the principle but her big head didn't understand that. Want advise on GNES go somewhere else where your kid can learn and succeed.Parent Review6y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 6806/6816 E County Line Rd.

"Like many places, if you have a barking dog outside you will receive multiple complaints in this neighborhood. Dogs are not allowed to be left outside in the backyard except to go out to do their business. "

"It's awesome but has become ridiculous in price. there is no public transit . there's no safe walkway to the closest grocery store but you in the route of a lot of traffic especially if you're biking, or using a wheelchair or other device. there's not enough sidewalks south of prairie Crossing we have the abandoned not abandoned vacant Marsh grocery store that needs something to be done with it. most of the people in our community well at least have walk and they don't have cars and to cross the street over 135 and either way is dangerous and there's been pedestrian accidents. the traffic has become insane it's very noisy especially on weekends particularly on Sundays if your windows are open you can't hear nothing in your apartment people drag racing. "I’ve lived in this neighborhood for three years and so far it hasn’t been bad. The only issue I have is other people believe their dog is a higher priority than mine. Hence, I am not allowed to let my dog go #2 in their yard because their dog only goes there because they do not walk their dogs. They let them out to poop and immediately come back into their trailer. The don’t even pickup after their dogs! But my dog is not allowed to go to the bathroom in the yard they rent and I pick it up! Also note there are several stray cats and the smell of urine is horrible. "

"There are many events in old town, lots of local craft beer places and a water park. It is a great place for visiting the parks for picnics or the farmers market. The mall is also a popular place to go and in the summer it also has local bands that play. "

"I grew up in my current neighborhood. Moved to the west side of town because it was cheaper. Bug mistake. I moved back as soon as possible It's quiet here. The neighbors keep their homes and lawns nice. Very low crime. Worst thing we've experienced was change missing from the cup holder. The old saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. "
