Read what parents are saying about Greenwood Northeast Elementary SchoolNo diversity. The leadership has to the worse, I have dealt with. I filed a complaint on them, next thing I know they lying saying I was sending my child to school with just applesauce(his snack) as his nutritional meal, although he has been eating a hot tray from school since the beginning of the school year and has 38 dollars active on his account. Whew, if this ain't libel and slander, I'm confused. I asked to incorporate some learning into my son classroom to help him with reading (a bookmark) and was told its one teacher and 20 students. A teacher who has her own child in the classroom may I mention, therefore the accommodation for that child learning is probably being met every step of the way. A teacher that will communicated negative behavior but no progress of positive progression, which bothers me, because we shouldn't only communicate when its negative about the student. A point I made to the principle but her big head didn't understand that. Want advise on GNES go somewhere else where your kid can learn and succeed.
Posted by a parent on 12/6/2019Everything at this school was perfect..and I we moved to Gainesville, FL in 1970...my dad worked for Farm Bureau in Indiana and got transferred to Florida. The schools in Florida were not good, so most of my learning came from this school..I graduated from Florida and sold pharmaceuticals for 35 years...it was super...love to this school and all the teachers I had.Signed...Gregory F. Woodworth....address in Greenwood...123 Marcy Lane.
Posted by a community member on 7/6/2019Both of my kids have thrived at Northeast. It is clear that ut is the staff's passion to lead our kids and love each student. Truly awesome teachers and staff. Great principal and wonderful school Counselor. Northeast is growing and coming right along with the dedication of all the staff.
Posted by a parent on 4/17/2019The principal seems to care more about "image" rather than what's in the best image of the families. I COMPLETELY agree with the other person that she ( principal) has created a somewhat hostile environment for parent/teacher relationships. I don't think she means to or is necessarily"bad" but she doesn't come across as a pleasant person to be around & when she is nice, it's in a very condescending way. She comes across as if she's thinking: "I know what's best for you & your family if you had any sense, you would just agree with me and go along with me." On a positive note, I think she really does care, it's just that her uptight & condescending personality is hurting her "cause" and not creating a very open & friendly environment for parents/families.
Posted by a parent on 8/13/2014I am a volunteer at Northeast and work with a 2nd grader. I am impressed with how caring and committed the staff is. They are not only focused on test scores but also on building relationships with their students. They recently passed IREAD (3rd grade test) with the highest percentage in the district.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy oldest went to SPCS from kindergarten-5th grade. And our middle is currently attending SPCS. We love the teachers here and the education our kids receive. Our oldest was more then ready for middle school. The teachers really care about the kids and have a loving welcoming atmosphere in the classrooms. Love the small class sizes which encourage a family environment with the kids. Our youngest will attend SPCS starting next year for preschool. Highly recommed the preschool program as well.Parent Review4y ago - Curtis Wilson Primary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of a former student, I loved how invested all the teachers and admin was at OLG. Everyone was very easy to contact; as well as, willing to go above and beyond to ensure the success of my child. The small class size really helped my child recieve as much meaningful instruction and make connection with each teacher. The community faith based approach the school provides is equally as impreesive. My child was taught to include all other students; regardless of age, grade, or academic level, to ensure everyone around her was successful.Parent Review1y ago
