    "East Marion is a wonderful hidden gem on the North Fork of Long Island. It's a great place to raise your children with schools that have classes with an average of 18 children in a classroom. It's safe and lots of friendly, caring neighbors. It has a small population of full-time residents and many part-time residents with weekend/summer homes. It has farms (fruit, vegetable, lavender) and beaches for the exclusive use of its residents. It is only a few miles away from Greenport which has lots of great restaurants, shops, and marinas as well as an old-fashioned carousel for the kids. East Marion is close to Eastern Long Island Hospital which has received a very high rating for patient care. The East Marion Volunteer Fire Dept. has the most wonderful, caring, and dedicated members and always ready to assist when you need them. "
