"Always feels a little uncomfortable especially at night. There is always trash in the yard blowing from the main streets. "
  • Juan_delira0884
"I live in the neighborhood for the last eight years. Every one here is another member of the family doesn’t matter race, color, language, country or religion."
  • Alex K.
"Mostly quiet, lots of cute houses, very diverse (age, race, household size, income) and overall great area. On street parking is usually not a problem but the streets got a bit crowded recently. Many long-term residents and owner occupied homes. Budding local business scene. good grocery, food, drink options nearby. walkable and easily bike-able to BART. "
  • Trulia User
"We have a brand new elementary school in the neighborhood; Michelle Obama Elementary. It’s very walkable and not far from the popular Solano Playlot. "
  • Trulia User
"good parks within walking distance. stome cars drive too fast so definitely should keep dogs on leashes."
  • Trulia User
"Friendly neighbors, feels safe for family. A lot of trick or treaters every Halloween. People say hi when you pass then in the streets. Neighborhood looks out for one another "
  • Trulia User
"It could be safer!! And Cleaner, way too much trash it’s gross. More regular patrol would be appreciated people speed. It’s not safe in that regard either "
  • Elaine.carbonell

  • B Richmond
"There’s a food market every Friday they have fresh fruit and vegetables. They also have a vendor that sells fresh smoothies. Another that sells roasted chickens. There’s a wide variety of other vendors like jewelry, electronics, clothing and so on."
  • A RmO
"A lot of crime, no holidays spirit kids don’t play outside because the violence around this area. Park is in front but I don’t recommend it because a lot of drinkers in there."
  • Carlacryptic
"I don’t have kids so I’m probably not the best person to ask this question. Seems like a good place to grow up; I know a couple of kids here who have gotten to the age where they are parents."
  • Carlacryptic
"No idea. We are not pet owners. There are several dogs in the area, though. Can’t say much more than that."
  • Triakera
"The neighborhood is full of friendly dog owners who walk regularly. Plenty of flat streets with interesting gardens and parks to check out. "
  • Carla JP
"Very residential and usually quiet. I've lived here for 20 years and people watch out for each other but don't get in your business."
  • Trulia User
"Many owner occupied homes and friendly people, but school options are almost nonexistent. Traffic is not safe for children or bicyclists. "
  • Pazyvictor
"beautyfull, safe, home for my family my comunity is great for families, and festivities for diferent cultures"
  • Pazyvictor
"we have friendly neighbors and every one watch our property each other. and also never see a noting suspicious close to my house."
  • Knoxjalex
"My extended family have lived in this neighborhood for over a half century. While its semi-dense and urban it is comfortable and full of pleasant surprises."
  • Amanecer863
"The neighbors have known each other for generations. Our children grew up together and we all watch out for each other. Crime in this area has always been significantly lower than surrounding areas and we truly have that community feel here. It is a quiet neighborhood where people enjoy walking with their families and pets and we even know each other's pets by name and we look out for them as well. I would choose N/E Richmond over Berkeley or Oakland any day. - 35 yr res."
  • Jason Y.
"It’s dangerous yet comfortable. I’ve lived here my whole life and I know I don’t have to worry about it becoming the next Oakland. "
