  • Devere Kutscher
"Lots of green space, access to parks, trails, and excellent public schools. While many areas have sidewalks, some don’t, and it can be dangerous for small children to ride their bikes."
  • Anonymous
"People are very pretentious - you are what you drive. Lots of high income people who have an inflated sense of self importance."
  • DVK
"Lived here for 4 years and enjoy the peace and quiet…but also the proximity to the city. It feels isolated, despite being minutes to everything."
  • DVK
"Very leafy, quiet and private, with lots of green space and good schools nearby. It’s also located near major shopping and commercial area, but feels much more isolated."
  • DVK
"Many families with children in the area, great schools, and wide streets that are good for biking. One minus is that many areas lack sidewalks."
  • Unspecified
"Lots of parks and sidewalks and the YMCA. Also, excellent schools, and the trolley trail makes the local library branch bike accessible "
  • Heather Bryn
"One of the best places to raise a family. Opportunity to raise your children in near the nations capital, and grow up in a culturally diverse community. Bethesdas public and private schools are some of the best in the nation. "

  • Trulia User
"I work from home, so there is no commute. However, commuting into the city is easy, and so is accessing Northern Montgomery County and Northern Virginia via the Beltway nearby."

  • Trulia User

  • Carine N.
"Good neighborhood friendly people and great food! Thank you, Bethesda, I love living here. Blah blah "
  • Rob B.
"Bethesda is a great neighborhood. Unfortunately the small business owners are being pushed out by the the larger corp. that have bought up so much real estate. Rents are very high and commercial rent is as well. Sadly it is slowly losing its neighborhood charm and it will soon look like every other cookie cutter block with all the same large corporation businesses. There is a homeless shelter that’s not well advertised on Cordell ave & Wisconsin Ave so you will see people begging for money on the regular. Great access to I459, the Metro and DC if that’s seen as a plus for you. "
  • Katherine A. A.
"Really quick drive to work, some annoying/entitled and rude drivers but I’m from the south so not used to it"
  • Jessica E.
"People are out walking their dogs all the time! People are friendly and so are most dogs! Lots of trails nearby"
  • Chloe g
"I drive to Gaithersburg for work. It’s very convenience with being able to park right at my building and access it via elevator. "
  • CMC
"Neighborhoods are tree-lined and have aged well aesthetically. Homes and properties are typically well-cared for. Lots of people out walking dogs or jogging in afternoon and evening. "
  • Liz
"Lack of dog runs and parks is a minus but many people have friendly dogs and take care of the area. Loads of shops for their needs"
  • Shijudevarajan
"Calm and quite lively neighborhood with park, groceries shop and whatever you need all in walkable distance!"
  • Michael
"Excellent commute. Walkable living makes things accessible in the neighborhood from stores to restaurants "
  • Javier D
"I either take the Metro or walk to work. There is a trail that leads straight to the gate of Walter Reed but the snow can interfere. "
  • Sinhavikas
"Bethesda row has everything, metro stop, grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. You do not need to have car in this neighborhood if you don’t want to."
