  • Corkyclara
"Fairbanks feels like a safe place. It has a small town feeling to it and people look out for each other "
  • Shelby_victorino
"we say hi and are respectful of each other. We found our neighbors dog once and we called them off the dogs tag and found out they lived at the house across the street the dogs went home safe made us happy owning dogs ourself "
  • Tamara Parker
"My neighborhood is close to the main stores in Fairbanks, giving easy access and efficiency to everyday living. "
  • Claud4u2
"I drive my own vehicle I do not take the bus. I live in Fairbanks, it’s a great place to live if you don’t get involved in people business "
  • Wvallstate66
"I’ve lived here for over 20 years the people and community are great almost no matter where you go the community is relatively safe and there is almost nothing to worry about "
  • Fawn.barbieri20
"People are friendly- if you’re walking down the street we greet each other, maybe chat a minute. The kids play outside - safe and having fun"
  • Richardleewilkin3
"Dog owners would like the sidewalks and ease of the walking areas that include a small wooded area. "
  • Clarity Smith
"Be mindful of your neighborhood. There’s a drug problem in Fairbanks but also a lot of good people. Just be selective in your social groups and teach your kids to do the same. "
  • Jessica
"Neighborhood is wonderful! Close to Ft. Wainwright (about a 5min drive to the back gate that is open from 0500 to 2000) as well as Eilson AFB (about 25min away). Contrary to other reviewer's post, this neighborhood is on the other side of town from Pioneer Park, movie theatre, and the correctional facilities. It's a quiet, family friendly neighborhood where everyone keeps to themselves but waves when you're out and about. "
  • Jessica E.
"Love this neighborhood! Right next to Ft. Wainwright's back gate (so less traffic getting on to base), 5 minute drive to the city and close to all the amenities (Fred Meyer and Costco are 4-5 min drive away), restaurants within walking distance, and friendly neighbors. Neighborhood has several children and everyone looks out for each other. "
  • Melonie R.
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for six years and the neighbors are very friendly. We are next to the green belt and within walking distance of the elementary, middle, high school and University. You couldn’t find a better location to live! This neighborhood is very accepting of college students and military members."
  • Brandon S.
"We mostly drive to work in our area my kids can drive a school bus it is far however the neighbors are quiet and friendly."

  • plittlejohn
"It is .8 miles to my job or a 5 min car ride, 20-25 min walk although I wouldn't recommend walking after dark."
