Tanana Middle School

When we were here the last time there was a male principal who was beyond amazing. I heard he was driven out by the liberals. Those liberals have taken over the school and it has gone downhill more than I can express in words. After a month of horror, we decided we would be homeschooling our children. I would never send my kids to this school unless they bring back somebody who actually cares about kids and has the backbone to make changes. This was, about 12 years ago, probably the best school in the district. Today, I would not be surprised if it was ranked as the worst. Avoid at all costs.

Some kinder teachers teach children to write using the denealian font. But all the other paperwork they get, work on, view, uses the normal basic font. Then when those students move on to 1st grade, those teachers mark points off, for not utilizing the correct font. It's hard on parents, because we taught our kids to write using the basic font that is in all the workbooks online and in books stores. Now our kids tell us, "that's not the right way!" Does anyone else see a problem with this??

I love this school because it has so many great teachers and they all teach great. Each student who goes there will have a great education and learn new thing every single day.

The teachers here have touched my heart and so have the students. Learning new things here have opened up a great new window for me to explore. I hope to come here next year

Everyone knows this is the absolute worst school in the district. My child has fallen behind so much it makes me sick. Calling this school a daycare would be a compliment. My student has been terrorized and physically assaulted almost every single day. This school is literally a fight club. Whenever I try to talk to staff about my child being body slammed I am told the kids here have problems it’s the Southside. They don’t care about children here. Clock in clock out. I wish someone would investigate this school it’s disgusting

This is our first year with FCS and we are more than impressed. My daughter started 2nd grade with lower then 1st grade reading level. Whit in first 44 days of school, she started reading chapter books! Her teacher has been an amazing supporter and motivation for her. The staff is amazing and very welcoming. They go above and beyond to learn each and every student names and their families. This organisation has done a fantastic job on bringing students and parents together to make a community by hosting families, free, events. We are grateful to be part of this wonderful community and school.
